In the end according to IIHF they got the call right which is what matters. I mean even Bob McKenzie agreed and he's an idiot. Remember IIHF rules differ from NHL and the moment Mike Johnson mentioned that on the broadcast I knew the goal would be disallowed. Is what it is.

The Devils will need Quinn on their team, a future lineup of Hamilton, Hughes and Hughes will be a fun team to play against.

The amount of WJC all stars that do nothing at the NHL level is endless. Jiricek and Nemec weren't possible. Svozil was taken before our 5th round pick, didnt have a 3rd to take him. Same with Del Mastro, etc.

That wasn't my point, as obviously not all prospects make it and it had nothing to do with where the Canucks are picking, as I usually post these players well in advance of the draft, series even before the start of the draft season, but they usually get shot down, because I prefer players with size and a 2 way game.

In the 10-30 range there are several RHD with potential. If we sell on multiple players are could end up with a top 5 pick. top 5 this year has 4 1st line potential C's with 2 being franchise altering and a franchise altering winger(who is 4 years away due to contract in KHL) we could easily get 2-3 extra 1sts this year of we make the most out of our trades. This one draft could define our franchise for the next 10-15 years.

There is not several a few maybe. Not much in the way of size & strength more like hybrids. Shutdown RHD are to be found in later rounds. Luck is involved.

We say this about certain positions every year and are always wrong. Seider wasn't worth a top 10 pick according to most in here, was taken 6th oa and is a stop #2 who is looking like he will be a legit #1. Outside of the top 10 it is always safe to reach IMO.

He was in the range of top 10. He’s also big & mobile where there are none in this draft near the top 10 or so. Some good LHD options are sniffing around. Maybe some RHD will push to climb the ranks.
