After watching those U20 kids fly around the ice this Canucks game is slow.

I wonder what went through Francesco's mind when Guenther got his 2nd in the U20 final?

Do we think the canucks would have been smart enough to select him? Only checks 1 out of 3 boxes as winger, but not undersized or euro.

"It was a huge day for us as an organization. We were able to put together a good trade that allowed us to get up to No. 9, which is unusual. I think there have only been a few trades in the last 10 years that have allowed any team to get up into the Top 10 pick -- and we were able to do that. I think the most remarkable thing about the day was that Guenther was (still) there."

Well the Canucks were ready to compete for a playoff spot so from Benning’s perspective I totally understand him trading that pick. #sarcasm
