Elias Pettersson (D, Vancouver Canucks): Not super noticeable on either side of the puck, but quietly efficient and very competitive in battles. Makes the right choices with and without the puck. Long stick and surprising pop off of his wrister with it.

Jonathan Lekkerimaki (F, Vancouver Canucks): Shot is still lethal in its placement and quickness. Played with intention off of the puck on the forecheck early on — nice to see him forcing turnovers — but didn’t maintain it throughout the tournament and was eventually demoted to the 13th forward role when he wasn’t doing what they’d hoped he would. Have to remind yourself he was the second-youngest player on the team after Carlsson, but this has been a tough year for him and the world juniors weren’t a step forward. A silver lining: He made some plays in his return to the top-nine in the bronze medal game.

I think we will soon see Florida enter the race to the bottom and help create a glut in the market, with players like Gudas, and one of the Sam's, adding to the similar players that the Canucks need to move on from.
