Gibson probably available. Raanta from the Canes maybe, that kid in Arizona, Foresberg from Ottawa. Unless they think Martin/Delia can hold the fort.

It’s probably too late already, but if playoffs are still their goal they need to move quickly. If they had acted even a week earlier last year they may have made it.

If you have to move this years 1st for a playoff chance you do it, if the right deal is available you could move next years 1st as well.

That’s the points pace the Canucks will have to sustain over the remaining 58 games this season in order to make the playoffs. They have 21 points as of Friday. They will likely need 74 more points, which would get them to 95 on the season.

That’s a better pace than last season’s Canucks played at after Bruce Boudreau was hired Dec. 5, 2021.

Last season, the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference was claimed by the Nashville Predators with 97 points.

At present, HockeyViz.com projects the second wild-card team in the west will need just 93 points to make it in.

Could the LA Kings look at Thatcher Demko later on in the season

LA badly needs a replacement for Quick, I could see them sniffing around the Canucks, but it would also mean Canucks are very serious about a long term rebuild. You guys all want one but does ownership?

I mentioned last season that the fear was Demko may turn into another edition of Cory Schneider. Might be happening in real time lol.

I wanted the teardown in 2012 when Kesler and Loowingo started acting like goofs asking for trades and handcuffing the club. Plus also supported Linden and his want of a full rebuild. But alas 90% of the posters here wanted Linden fired. Not saying it would have been any better now considering Ownership but still...
