The league investigated the Kucherov situation Fram a couple years ago. This could be about the team putting a player on IR/LTIR, that may not warrant them being there.
Without knowing the situation, it is hard to say what they may be investigating.

I get that the team is soft and the lack of pushback is a real concern, but this situation is the wrong hill to die on, in regards to Bo, or anyone responding, in this situation.
Goalie was pulled, on a PP and people want Bo, the captain, to respond.
He did the right thing in this situation, as the players are still trying to win hockey games, regardless of whether we, as fans want them to tank.

Yeah I agree. It doesn't mean that there haven't been others that deserved a response, but speaking just about this situation ... either would have been right. As a captain, you want to stop this sinking ship and get a win so take the PP. If you were too frustrated at the time to restrain, socking Sergey would have been fine too. Probably win/lose situation either way for him ... a better win if they tied it up ... almost did! Went the other way so it fits the narrative of being too soft.
