If RHD wasn’t the forever search for so many teams for so long a D like Myers if he were a LHD would be a dime dozen 1-2m contract.

Nobody knows what JB imagined he saw in MYERS other than 6’8”. There is nothing else on his resume other than his rookie season.

If the Cunucks left side was any good RHD woes would be much lessened.

Kelowna Schenn better than Kelowna Myers. Myers is paid 6m to play not have fun. I don’t see him standing out as 1 of the top paid players on the Canucks. He’s part of the problem not the solution. 3rd pairing in the Peg gets a big 5yr contract he’s never earned nor given back value. When he & some others are gone we will begin to have a chance to get better not sooner.

Was that Benning that handed out that big $ contract? Was he hoping he’d be Calder trophy RD? Or piece of poo RD? If he was making 3-4 mil it wouldn’t matter. You should also focus on stellar LD Old Ekman Larson, or maybe castoff RD Ethan Bear, or even better, how about that Stillman kid. Let’s face it, there’s not a lot to like on that backend but you can’t stop bashing the same guy over and over and over……..

Depends if management stays the course or uses buyouts or takes on bad money in trades/UFAs. If they do it will just take that much longer since we don't have a young pipeline of prospects ready.

Always a Canucks fan & it won’t change. It’s rare that I harp & rant on about a player but Myers has earned it & I won’t stop as long as he is here. It’s so bad my eyes get glued to him when he’s on the ice & miss the action while gagging & shaking my head. I actually get dumb founded when he makes a pass to a stick that isn’t his partner. In my sleep I see him sliding down to block a pass or shot that never happens. Is it no wonder JV learned nothing from him that one offseason in Kelowna. Schenn should mentor Myers back at home.

Does anyone care about the games anymore? Is it all about winning? Can’t we enjoy the goals and plays and look forward to the big changes?

There is so much negativity coming out about losing. This team screwed itself and will be dismantled. It’s a matter of time.

I did my take on all the other D. We are stuck with OEL & imo not worth a buyout til after next season. Bear has fit in ok but not perfect but doesn’t cost much. Stillman sucks.

Does anyone care about the games anymore? Is it all about winning? Can’t we enjoy the goals and plays and look forward to the big changes?

There is so much negativity coming out about losing. This team screwed itself and will be dismantled. It’s a matter of time.

The frustration stems from no real clear long-term vision. It's more of the same uncertainty and doubling down on this core by moving around the surrounding parts and then watching this team poop the bed again.


So fans like us in here can either vent or just take a step back and become a casual who doesn't really care about the lack of a long term plan

Myers is buyout proof not happening. Only course of action is off load after his bonus or ride it out. Don’t pay to trade him retain only if needed. Next year expectations should not be high being it’s another year for more unravelling. Follow through on cap management & no UFA’s unless a bargain &/or a TDL asset. Take it on the chin unless this roster magically turns it around. Not holding my breath.

Last time I was pain free was the WHL days when we dominated like no team ever did. ‘82 ‘94 were magical times & had me juiced like no other time other the ‘72 Canada/Russia series. ‘11 I was working when the B’s burst my hopes & bubble. That’s hockey.

For me it was when I was in Cancun watching my Flames beat the heavily favoured Canucks. The Ferkland years! Or the first game and a 1/2 vs the Oilers last years playoffs, then the wheels fell off.

Depends on the magnitude of the swaps. Similar roster & I won’t be optimistic. Wait n see approach instead. I can see F’s being better but no chance the D as currently built.
