Yes. I believe it is lost on you because we were talking about Mike Gillis trades and you’ve somehow flexed it into Pearsons production vs Higgins production. Evan Oberg for Chris Higgins - vs - McCann (first round pick) & the 33rd overall pick (second round) for Gudbranson and then Gudbranson for Tanner Pearson straight up is largely why Jim Benning set the franchise back ten years and Mike Gillis didn’t/

Willie D was a highly sought-after first-time coach. So was Travis Green.

I think Pods and Hogs are fine.

I wouldn't know what muddy underwear is like, I guess that is a fisherman's thing.

Depends.

I thought he played well down the stretch last year and to start this year but he needs to learn to not get down on himself so fast when he goes through a slump. But I agree that big minutes in the AHL is probably best for him and Hog right now

The Canucks acquired a 26 year old David Booth, Steven Reinprecht & a 3rd round pick for a 34 year old Mikael Samuelsson & Marco Sturm who’s career ended that year. They gave up nothing, no picks and two old players for a young 26 year old player who had two 20+ goal seasons and a 30+ goal season.

The Ballard trade turned out to be bad, yes, but the Booth, Higgins, Lapierre, Ehrhoff and Schneider trades were all good. Like I said earlier, most of the Gillis trades were meaningless. Dale Weise for Raphael Diaz, as an example.

Cap space was and will always be a thing. If some GM offers me a player that's overpaid for free, doesn't mean I'm winning the trade. It means I'm taking an inefficient contract off of his hands without charge, or I'm actually paying him if I give him a draft pick for said player.

Weise for Diaz is a nothing trade because they could be dumped into the AHL easily.

It’s amazing how much focus about not caring to watch Canucks games is posted here. Like because they’re bad it’s cool not too. Then most of those same people want a tear down. So how many more years will they continue to not watch? No one said they will watch plugs while the rebuild takes its years to form. Then you wonder why the team keeps on trying to win lol.

It’s unfortunate the hit he took from Mike Richards changed him though, he was never the same.

He scored goals, who cares where he was living. Florida didn’t want to pay him with their 2500 fan base. Didn’t cost anything for the Canucks to acquire him. Two million in cap space.
