Certainly feels that way for most I'd say.

Things wouldn't be so bad if the team was winning but they aren't, so it's worse.

I'm still optimistic that there is a decent team hiding and with a few smarter moves can return to contention in a few years but nothing Rutherford says really jives with what I personally think would put this team back into contention sooner rather than later.

I thought that several years ago - some decent pieces. But all this losing and drama wears on a person's psyche. Yes they are professionals, but they're not robots either. A lot of the stuff said here is said on the cover of the province with this team (in somewhat nicer terms). It's impossible to avoid, even if a player claims they don't pay attention to media or social media. I fear the wear and tear on the decent pieces we have/had has resulted in the fact that almost every human on this team would prefer a fresh start vs. bearing down and contributing to the solution in Vancouver.

Them staying with this tandem and not throwing a flyer out on a guy like Nedel with at least some NHL experience is the only signal I see so far that they have accepted their fate of a rebuild. Throwing Delia and Martin to the wolves each night, while cruel, does improve our draft pick.

Clearly in history no one is untouchable for offers but now a days, you really would never get value back for either.

After a certain point when they have failed many times, it would be time to get some value back for those types of players.

Contrary to Ruby's belief's, there isn't an NHL team that would say no to having QH on their team. Well unless they hire Tocchett but I don't want to go there until it's announced.
