Podz will be fine, he's just a bottom 6 player at this stage of his career. You're right he's nowhere near as talented as EP but they're both the type of players you need somewhere in your lineup.

Podz is 21 and a sophomore slump is not uncommon at all for young players. I get concerned with EP when we talk about long, gruelling playoff series when he has to match up with a top flight #1 C.

I believe the same was said about Henrik Sedin early in his career. He ended up not only being the best center to ever play for the organization but also one of the most durable both regular season and playoffs.

Henrik is a bit of an exception as it means Daniel is on his wing.

Guys like Getzlaf, Thornton etc. We saw them beat down the Canucks on many a night.
