He was like the 7th best on Canucks to start the year and he's the 11th on the Bruins but they have the Canucks 4 spots ahead in their rankings.

That 2007 draft was particularly brutal. Not one single NHL game from six Canuck picks. That amazes me. Patrick White 25th overall? Really? That’s why I hate Nonis as a GM so much. By far, the worst Canuck GM of all time IMO.

I knew he was replacing Burke because I was friends with his cousin(not close). She told me Dave was already telling family he had the job before the Burke being let go announcement.

He was garbage right out the gate. A lot of people forget that he could have bought out some of the contracts with no penalty in that first summer of the cap and chose not to. He had an opportunity to balance out the roster in what was the richest UFA summer of all time and the players were taking smaller contracts than what our players had. Instead he kept Burke's roster and looked around the world for the hidden gems.... he did as well with that as he did with the White pick. Always, his poop discoveries were labeled by him as "best center not in the NHL" etc....

No young, moveable NHLers. Virtually no A-grade prospects. No 2nd round pick. Their 1st rounder will be extremely late.

The draw would be that they don't have what management is looking for, which is probably a good thing honestly. Plus then they have to overpay.
