I wanted both. Also what’s interesting about Toews is that the Isles chose to move him over others is because they didn’t think he was reliable defensively even though the stats showed that he was one of their best.


Schmidt playing pretty decently for a solid Jets team

So Shaw is the difference in D structure. Who let him walk? Now they try to fix the whole team with coaching changes. It’s more craziness. Just sell players. Draft and build. But most think that will get screwed up as well.

Quite interesting, call it "Scooby's hair dresser".

I was just talking with one of my bosses. He's also a Canuck fan. He has a new employee who is good friends with a former NHL player who was coached by Brad Shaw.

My boss and I were talking about Van's next coach and he was saying that his new employee told him one day during some hockey talk that Shaw I guess kind of asked to leave Van this summer because he had thought. There was no "hope" for the defence and the teams structure. With the Bruce bump last year was the absolute best it was ever going to get.

Let’s see if we can draft our own MacK/Makar/Rantanen/Landeskog and trade for a Toews

I don’t have much faith in this management to pull off this re-tool. Rebuilds are easier and in the cap era they don’t have to take 10 years like some people exaggerate.

Sounds about right but then he joined Philly lol. He also got a nice gig as Torts top assistance coach in Philly which is more stable than being an assistant for a lame duck coach who’s getting criticized by his management

From what I’ve read from draft nerds and listening to the interview Drance did with Florida’s former director of amateur scouting, these next couple of draft classes are going to be nice for teams picking early and picking often.

Smart. So this next group will take time to implode I guess. Or get more support cause trades will be made.

Truth be told it’s been quiete the coddle job by Bruce from camp on. Players aren’t sharp even though personnel changes should be made.
