I would be shocked if FA shows his face for a coaching hire, it'll probably be Allvin, and maybe JR too.

Tocchet is going to get a long leash here, he's here for the next 3 seasons minimum.

Yeah, but we all know that for this group (and owner) contract length means nothing and they're willing to pay coaches (and managers) to not work if they (meaning FA) doesn't like them or how things are going. It's why I wonder if RT is re-thinking being the new HC here when it's so clear that everything is at the whim of the owner who's got a very short fuse and no patience when it comes to building a contender.

Here's my theory, BB gets fired tonight after the Canucks lose in a SO 5-4 to the Oilers, and a press conference to introduce Rick Tocchet is called for Monday. Monday rolls around, FA/JR/PA are at the podium with RT and introduces him as the next HC of the Vancouver Canucks and...

Rick Tocchet gets up to the mic and says, "I'd like to thank the Vancouver Canucks, Francesco Aquilini, Jim Rutherford and Patrik Alvinn for this wonderful opportunity. I'd also like to thank my agents for negotiating my contract so that I get paid the majority of my money upfront, so it with great regret... that I resign as Head Coach, effective immediately, I mean... after all, if Bruce Boudreau can be treated like he has, what's stopping this group from doing it to me? So yeah, thanks guys, but no thanks... I'll take my money and go back to broadcasting games on NBC until I get an offer from a functioning organization that doesn't have a d!ck as an owner, an old senile smug, two-faced fart in charge of hockey operations, and a two bit no presence or personality mannequin GM running it.
