Lol, you caught that too? I pointed that out to the wife. Saying he was pretending like he was sad and concerned, yet he’s the guy that made all this poop public. Full agreed with Bieksa and I read inbetween the lines.

Waking up to this insanity is surreal. Whatever it’s just a coaching change, right? The drama is well deserved and indicative of how everything is being mishandled.

The only good is the tank and that might end with the new coaching staff coming in. So more misdirection to follow. Like winning won’t help now. Structure or maybe playing the right way. But this group isn’t designed to defend.

Make those trades and maybe just maybe there will be some hope for a better future.

Good news: Canucks are 2-8 in their last 10... if they keep that pace up they'll go 7-29 over their last 36 games for a solid 53 points.

Bad news: CBJ are on pace for 53 points for the season, and the Canucks have (according to the Atheltic model) the 3rd easiest schedule remaining. So, unlikely the Canucks will be that bad over the course of the season.

A lotto win gets 1OA draft… lol. I know the odds of bottom 3 are best. But I doubt even the Canucks can get below the Hawks CBJ, AZ and Ducks. Maybe tank below the Sharks and keep under the Habs. But there you go they suck but losses might not pile up enough under new coaching. Unless major trades gut the team. A lot to ask for you know.

So that set of games went well lol… remember before they signed JTM that character thing was thought about him. But they screwed up by not trading him. Now they may get more for Bo. Who funny enough was not thought of as anything more then a 5-6M long term extension. But 99pnt career year man JTM gets the money bag. Then all hell breaks loose after the team flop to start the season. This group just digs its own grave.

If the story of his replacement didn’t break in the media then would this drama have occurred?

IDK seems more distraction from frustration over play and plans. But that helped the tank. No one has to love ownership or management. But respect is earned with results.

The real problems are the recent comments that made fans flee over the plan that came out in conference. Though it was a conference about the mishandling of a player’s injury. Not noted that player was not performing per his contract. But now can be LTIR to maybe end of contract. Again, not nice or classy but effective.

Who knows this ugliness may lead to something where things turn around. Many believe we’ll just keep sliding into years of futility. I get it and can agree.

Though you know some trades and drafts might change that outlook. Lol the future looks bleak but yet still undiscovered.

I have a feeling the low trajectory that Benning brought the team to is only going to get lower the next couple seasons, and Petey isn't gonna want to be a part of that.

If tocchet can drive Petey out of town then he has done his job. A rebuild can finally start around young players that connect with the community and play for their teammates and not themselves

It's pretty ridiculous that FA selling the team is going to improve this team but in the end, what's left

Have seen many GM's, coaches, player personnel, assistant's, scouts pro and amateur come and go and there is always that feeling that nothing is going right or gonna get better for a good decade now.

I don't think the right pieces have ever really been put in place to get it done because it's not going to be one man to do it. Rutherford from the outside seems like a pretty decent choice but since he started here it's just been a poop show.

The Tocchet hiring has not been positive, not even for the fact that Bruce firing has been poop but I haven't seen anyone who is literally on board with it.
