I listed the top 2 centers from all teams and it was amazing how many of them had less or only a few more hits than him. Its was a minority that had significantly more hits than him. Something like 1/3 or 1/4 at the time...

I remember someone had done a list a few years back, just couldn't remember who did it.

When fans are expecting your centres to be doing the gritty work, you know you have a messed up fanbase. Would I like to see Bo being a bit nasty, you bet, would I want him fighting, no way, well maybe once or twice a season, but that is a wingers and defensemen jobs.
I doubt the coaches want to see their top minute centre getting into skirmishes and getting to physical, they want them out on the ice, not in the penalty box or on the injured reserve list.
