I like the signing also. But only if Bo and Boeser are gone. Draft or trade for a young centre. Save cap space for future trades to address the D. I’m going to celebrate with some of lefty’s pills when Bo is traded

I think the bigger problem is the 21 mil they have spent on three defenders (Hughes Myers OEL).

Take Boeser off that list and problem looks a whole lot better.

It also didn't make sense that they signed Miller a year early unless they were so stupid they thought they didn't over pay. I think Islanders suckered them into thinking they would take Miller after he was signed and they baulked. That is bull IMO. I think regardless of today's signing there is still a dozen teams that want Bo. Canucks will have no problem moving BO.

I still say I don't like Canucks drafting and trading skills but to be fair they have been only trading C type players so far.

If Canucks pull off a Byfield and a first for Bo then I will stop b1tching.

I think if Bo's return is young center, then concentrate on D at the draft. If they get a D at the trade, then concentrate on a center as a priority. Basically we are both saying fill the holes.

Kind of reminds me of Colorado before Bednar/Sakic. Failed the rebuild until Skic came in and traded Duchene and O'Rielly to rebuild the defence. Three years after the Duchene trade, Colorado was very good. Granted Sakic made a lot of very nice moves/picks. The Duchene move alone changed their D a lot though, change of philosophy as they picked up both Girard and what would be Byram. They also drafted MAkar in 2017. Picked up Toews. Not the only reason they turned it around but IMO it is a very significant one is the focus on D.
