At least Hoglander looks good in that draft when looking at in context ... when you're scrolling down NHL totals on hockeydb anyway

Nichushkin, Kuzmenko, Kucherov, Panarin all Russians who took some time to develop, if I am not mistaken none of them did anything until about 24 years old.

Heck even the great Mikheyev didn't develop until he was 26.

He's a role player at best, no argument there. I meant in terms of hitting on a draft pick though, technically he is a good pick by 2nd round standards.

I don't think people don't like him, he is a character who likes like he is always having fun and a pretty decent player.
I think it is more about the direction and clusterfuck way this team has been run over the past decade that has most people scratch hing their heads.
