Lane Pederson had almost twice as many goals in half as many games in the AHL as Raty. As far as Abby goes, LP for AR is a let down. Not that it's a big picture thing... just saying.

Not knowing what the offers were with all the teams I don't know what offer the best deal was.

On paper it is underwhelming to me but we will leave it at that for now. I am sure this will help us draft higher though so it might not be all bad thoughts.

Raty was highly touted after a great world juniors a couple years back but has failed to gain a permanent spot on an islander team desperate for scoring. That should tell you everything.

I am surprised Reuben like Beauv. He has the same cap hit as Mikheyev and Garland and less points.

I don't know enough about the prospect to be happy about the deal and I certainly won't get excited about drafting above 12 with PA/JR.

Not complaining but am in wait and see mode.

Not a huge fan of Beauvillier, but he has nice speed, good at putting on puck pressure and occasionally throws a few hits, unlike the 2 you mentioned.

It is more about getting Raty and the 1st that I like about this trade, although I still think Bolduc also should have been added.

Can't say i'm up to date on any NYI prospects/players, but the one thing i'm pleased with is mgmt getting the deal done ahead of the TDL and putting this one to bed.

No, Mikheyev shies away from any physicality, has has 1 okay season in Toronto,who plays an offensive game, where as Beauvillier has played that way since entering the league, makes 660k less, and actually bumps people, instead of trying to do the stupid death stare.
