It's not what they think they're getting, it's what they gave up that they're ecstatic about. An underachieving winger, a prospect center that likely wasn't in their plans for the next 3 seasons and a protected first for a 20+ consistent goal scoring center? I'd be ecstatic too.

I have seen and read a bunch on him, I have no problem taking him. As Donna said, Reinbacher is the guy, no problem taking him in the top 10.

I am thinking the Islander pick could be used to trade down with a team like Buffalo and get another 2nd.

True on Beau I peg him as a mid 6 winger & to make the cap work. Better than getting Bailey who LL wanted to move out.

Makes Hog more of an after thought til he learns D better & gets his scoring going in the AHL.
