The 1st 15 chocked full of C’s. Lots of good talent. Most are 2C ceiling with 3C floor. Other than Bedard it is a large group below him. Too many small prospects but high skill. I like the potential of a few. Wood Barlow & on the fence with a few others. The premium on C’s always skews a draft imo. The real work begins in the later 1st & on. Too bad we’ve to rely on our scouts. Hope they nail this draft.

It should always be leadership by committee regardless who wears the C. The C is for representing the team in the public eye/media and rewarding a player who handles this best on the team on and off the ice. Once the locker room door closes, the players gravitate towards the leaders in the group. They don't wait for a coach to tell them who they will look to by slapping a C on the jersey. It comes naturally. This is how I see it at least...

That's not quite the description I get when reading more professional articles about the draft but sure.

Woodley says he had a chance to ask Demko about the rumors of him wanting out. His sense is that is not the case. Demko didn't express any frustration to Woodley.

My take: If they're shopping him, it's probably not by Demko's request.

Still going further into it so not a final assessment. More focus on our range of options at 6oa or so. Lots of time for risers & fallers. Wood intrigues me but a reach at this time. Also waiting on more dominos to fall & then do a draft strategy. Trying to justify a D with our top pick but find it difficult to gamble.

Are you kidding me? Japanese food is so good. I was in Tokyo one time flying home from the Middle East, I stayed over for 24 hours so I could check out the city, anyway, I had probably the greatest meal I’ve ever had in my life there.

I was so tall compared to them though, everyone stared at me, that wasn’t cool.
