I think that still favours the oilers. If they want to dump that contract it would cost a decent asset. I definitely want the Canucks to explore trades like this though. They don’t want to rebuild but are clearly tanking this year. Embrace it and take on some short term garbage

JP/2nd/3rd is the min. The cap hit hurts his value for sure. Reclamation project but maybe still only tops out as a 3rd liner.

He’s neither of Bert & Thompson. 3m in the tight cap world is the biggest problem. His production exacerbates it further. He’s a great candidate for a reclamation project. 1.5-2m he’d fetch more value but at 3m he’s a dump. Look at Bjorkstrand who only got a 3rd & 4th for a 57 pt season.

I don't think it would cost a 2nd to get rid of pool but probably a third.
Pool does nothing for our team. We can't afford him next season, he's too expensive and even if you win buy building from the wings in, we have to many winners who are better then him already
