A 3mil RFA cap hit, it can negotiated down or just qualify it, he can kill penalties, he has a high hockey IQ, has size and can skate in today's nhl. Get rid of Boeser, who does none of the above, and shoot for a win in a trade.

Actually his hockey offensive IQ is terrible. watch him or read up on him. He has hustle, is a big body, and can play the defensive side of the puck due to this, but offensive IQ is brutal. If you can't put up numbers with McD / Drai.... it says something, the Oilers have tried multiple times.

People are so quick to dismiss players, Pool has more production at this stage of career then Bertuzzi did, more then Tage.Thompson, maybe he is a late bloomer, he's wanted out of Edmonton for a few years, maybe that crap city is sucking his enjoyment of playing hockey, he has 3mil cap hit with RFA rights still. If the Oil would do 1 for 1 L Schenn it's our win

What we have seen in years past our third lines have sucked because all of our top third line players played in the top six.

No, he didnt say that. He said he wasn't going to talk with the media about his contract situation anymore is all. The two sides still had discussions after that... even just a few days before the trade there was another meeting of some sort.

While I agree Podz isn't considered a prospect anymore, I think his ability level is that of a blue chip prospect, kinda like OEL, someone who isn't quite good enough to be an NHL regular.
