It is, and will likely look bad at some point down the road, but there's no arguing he has been worth the money to this point.

I liked watching these highlights and seeing a come back but I just can’t understand what the direction of the team is at this point.

Rumors are there are big changes with multiple sell off. Probably only possible in offseason. So asset management by TDL UFA’s only?

Or is the team still trying to make the playoffs?

The way this management handles the Bo situation with not wanting to pay him much more than Boeser and refusing to meet with his agent when they were in town, or not playing hardball with Miller like they have with him, I expect to hear any time Bo 's camp say he's done with talks and going to test free agency. That will seriously hurt his return and this place will riot.

I guess it’s easy to see it either way. All other things aside, he’s on pace for > 20 goals and 40 points, is a plus player and we probably haven’t seen his best yet (or worst). So it’s decent value.

But, the flip side isn’t that they paid a premium as an UFA but that they also had to move other players at a cost to fit him into the lineup.

It’s like a 3rd round pick for Nate Schmidt isn’t a high cost but it also cost them Tanev, and then the whole didn’t work out thing

I don’t mind Mik, though I would have preferred they not spend any money on July 1 (or whatever day it was).

Not really his fault the club is mismanged.

He's maybe not the exact reason but I'd say we are seeing a better Pettersson this season. Combined with Kuzmenko that line has played pretty well this season in area's of the game.
