Package Holtz and our 10th to get higher? we do have a ton of quality in the system where if Fitz did want to move up, its really shouldn't be an issue. One player can make such a huge difference, so im cool with Fitz trading assets to get that one player they covet rather than settling with whose left at 10.

I guess it depends if there's someone the team really loves but doesn't think they'll be there at 10. Feels like after 1(Celebrini) and 2(should be Demidov) that any of the next ~10 or so players could go in any order.

I see a lot of people mocking Berkly Catton to us, which would be fun, but I have no idea if the team wants a forward or D. And we all know this team will pick for need instead of drafting BPA lol.

Friedman says Todd McLellan is getting a second interview with the Devils. Still says Berube and Woodcroft are high on the list, but also says there's some people there that don't want Berube. Says if Berube was a slam dunk within management, he likely would've been hired already.(Seravalli said he believes the Devils are down to a short list, and also mentioned Berube/Woodcroft/McLellan as well)

Friedman also says the Devils job is very highly coveted in the league. People believe they're the highest ceiling team of all openings available and a lot of people think they're on the cusp of something big.

Friedman update on the coaching search: "There was a time where i thought that Berube was going to have an offer to coach the Devils, but i'm not as certain about that now. I believe they were serious about Berube, they were serious about Woodcroft, and i'm under the impression that McLellan was going to get another interview with them. But I had some people saying to me this weekend that they think that Sheldon Keefe is a big factor in this job."

Also, Darren Dreger said he believes the Devils want to wrap this up by the end of the week.

So we'll see what happens. Looks like its between Keefe and Woodcroft, based on reports. Feels nice that the good coaches are interested in your team, feels much different than the previous hiring process when Lindy was named coach

We’re on the cusp of getting keefe, signing his boy Brodie and trading for ullmark. Worst case scenario possible incoming. Weak d, bad coach and average at best goaltending. Be prepared to deal with what the leafs have been dealing with.
