All of it hahahaha. But he’s so convinced. And when you debate it he’s got all this info in his response that it becomes clear you’re never going to change him.

Tell him to get AI to load/ de-ice and fly the planes then.

Id be retired by now if AI could figure out how to do my gig.

Well there are different forms of intelligence.

The guy can be great at siome things and be completely clueless about others.

- Scabeh

I know a once-respected planetary scientist with a PhD who still insists that tektites are from the moon. (spoiler alert : they are not). It's not even a controversial take any more. It's like insisting that birds aren't real or something.

Some very intelligent people believe very dumb things.

Not a chance, Tucks all the way.

- Snot Dillingham

Really?

No way imo. Tucker turn into a drama queen that became very annoying.
I loved how Roberts played, no BS. Often injured unfortunately, but his style of play was great.

Oh i agree. Book smart, street smart etc etc.
But thinking the earth is flat, covid was created to force a vaccine on people (even though most people in NA had already taken vaccines as a child) and bidens a reptilian pretty much rules book and street smarts. So not "really smart".
Maybe his knowledged with his financials?
Dunno.
But i read the above and "really smart" doesnt seem to ring true for someone who believes in those things.
Just my imo

- Fakepartofme

He hired AA....how smart can the guy actually be?

Then again someone has to clean the toilets and replace those urinal cakes.

oh ok..only choice was to make the team worse. damn
- senstroll

Right past your head.

1 year deals mostly.

Did not like the long term options obviously, and rightfully so after seeing those deals in practice.

You called it a mess, a mess is not 1 year deals ffs. A mess is having Graves 6x4.5M, Bunting 4.5Mx3, Orlov 7.5Mx2, Killorn 6.5Mx 4.

I saw people crying that Tre should have signed Hathaway 2.5Mx2 years instead of Reaves...His whole 6 points in 47 games and a -13 on a team in a wild card position would say otherwise.

It was not a "summer of pierre" perfect offseason, it was quite flawed actually...but a mess? Not even (frank)ing close.

The whole "birds aren't real" thingy is actually a guy just showing how franking stupid and gullible people are, and how it's so easy to get the media to amplify your stupidity.

Why do I bother to work hard, when fleecing rubes is so franking easy?

https://boingboing.net/20...2/eli-regalado-fraud.html

Kaitlyn and I are being charged in a civil charge from the Colorado Securities and Exchange Commission for basically selling millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency that is deemed worthless by the state. Now, the reason that they're saying that it's worthless is because there is no exit for people who have bought.

We launched an exchange, the exchange technology failed, things went downhill. And from that point forward, we've just been waiting on the Lord, literally, for a miracle.

So the charges are that Kaitlyn and I have pocketed $1.3 million, and I just want to come out and say that those charges are true. So there's been $1.3 million that's been taken out of. I think it was a total of 3.4 million. But out of that 1.3, half a million dollars went to the IRS, and a few hundred thousand dollars went to a home remodel that the Lord told us to do.

So how this whole thing started is the Lord told us in '21 to walk away from our marketing company. And he said, "I'm going to do a new thing." And then he took us into this cryptocurrency. It was a different cryptocurrency other than

- Atomic Wedgie[garbled] index coin at the time.

Well, that cryptocurrency turned out to be a scam. And so the Lord says, "Give that to 'em, but also give them a 10X."

And I'm like, "Well, where's this liquidity going to come from? And the Lord says, "Trust me."

Well, as money is coming in, we would be sowing it, and at first, it was hundreds of dollars, then thousands of dollars, then tens of thousands of dollars. Money would come in. We'd tithe, we'd sow, more money would come in. And so we were just always under the impression that God was going to provide, that the source was never ending, that God was doing a new thing.

And that we had nothing to worry about.

We sold a cryptocurrency with no clear exit. We did. We took God at his word and sold a cryptocurrency with no clear exit. And so the prosecutors have to take that and say, these people willingly sold a cryptocurrency with no clear exit. What we're praying for and what we're believing for still is that God is going to do a miracle. God is going to work a miracle in the financial sector.

Is it just me or does everyone find it funny people bought crypto (a main point was it's deregulation/off the grid) and then put it onto these random exchanges making it accessible?

Outside of gio and McCabe who came with term, pretty much all of the trades at deadline were for rentals.

Deadline deals .....Muzzin and Campbell both had term. Cliffy if we want to include him.

Unlimited access to “facts” combined with absolutely no capacity for independent reasoning or judgement is going to make for a highly entertaining last few decades of human life. Or so I read on Twitter.

I know more than a few people with graduate science degrees who believe in things like homeopathy, muscle testing (the thing where you press on your arm to tell if something's good for you), astrology, chiropractic, vaccine hesitancy, healing crystals, et cetera. It's (frank)ing crazy.

If you ask Nordiques fans, it wasn't Clark and junk for Sundin and junk.

It was Lefebvre and junk and the rights to Marc Crawford for Sundin and junk.

No seriously, Marc Crawford was part of that trade.

- Atomic Wedgie

Oh I think most Leaf fans knew how good/great Lefebvre was - he was the anchor. Cliff stole him from les habs for a 2nd rounder I think.

I wanted Todd Warriner to be great ....

That and NFT's.
- Fakepartofme

NFTs was a funny one, because 99.9999% of the population knew it was stupid.

Yet people still spent crazy amounts of money for NFTs of very average cartoons of monkeys.

I'll never forget a conversation I had with my dad at the height of the dot.com economy. We were living in Boston, and there was a company called Kosmo.com that was basically a convenience store that would deliver to your house in under 30 minutes. Same prices as 7-11, and a no tipping policy.

My dad asked how they could be making money.

I condescendingly explained to him that it wasn't about profits at this point - they were establishing "market share."

So my dad asked why you would want to dominate a market that would never have profits.

I knew right then the economy was in trouble.

About six months later we moved back to Toronto.

Good times.
