makes you wonder then if there's a team or two out there that has a serious look at his list every year loll - Pat1993
Well every team spends millions of dollars on their scouting department.
I do find it sad that a list everyone can find on the internet gives out better results.
Just like I find it funny/sad to think I'd have drafted better than Timmins with my mock drafts since 2010. (I would have also made terrible mistakes mind you but we don't talk about those).

and even then lol... I think people sometimes underestimate how basically impossible it is to predict how an 18-year-old will respond to the talent level, the pressure and the money that comes with becoming an NHL player.
I think the best organizations in terms of recruiting are those that are best at developing young talent and helping them become the best player they can be.
I said "best" a lot but you get the point loll - Pat1993
yeah but the people working for the team know the ins and outs of their team more than any of us or any of the "experts" do.
it's like how everyone questions coaches like they know more. the coach might be playing player b over player a because player a is nursing an injury or whatever. we all yell at the tv and we all see things we don't like but once people are down in the minutia trying to claim they know more about a team than the coaches or the GMs they're just trying to feed their egos. and a reductive argument like "well it didn't work their way" isn't the massive flex they seem to think it is. we don't know the stuff they know and it's silly to act like we do.

I never thought I'd be standing in a graveyard on Easter, holding a plucked dead chicken. But here I am, staring at its lifeless body, wondering how it got here. Did someone leave it as an offering? Or was it just a cruel prank? Either way, it's a strange sight. As I turn to leave, I feel a tug on my sleeve. My heart stops as I see the chicken's neck twitch. I must be hallucinating. But then, it happens again. The chicken's eyes open, and it lets out a loud cluck. I stumble back in shock, dropping the chicken. It stands up, its feathers growing back, and starts walking towards me. I can't believe what I'm seeing. Is this some kind of Easter miracle? The chicken follows me home, pecking at my heels. I try to ignore it, but it won't leave me alone. As I sit down to eat my Easter dinner, the chicken jumps onto my lap, staring at me with its beady eyes. I can't help but laugh. From that day on, the chicken becomes my constant companion. It follows me everywhere, even to work. People stare and whisper, but I don't care. I have a dead chicken that came back to life, and that's all that matters. As Easter comes around again, I can't help but wonder if this is all some sort of divine intervention. Maybe this chicken was meant to come back to life on this holy day. Or maybe it's just a strange coincidence. But one thing is for sure, this is one Easter I will never forget. And as I watch my chicken happily pecking at the grass, I am grateful for this bizarre, yet wonderful, turn of events. JesusPoulet, my resurrected chicken, has given me a new perspective on life and the magic of Easter.
