it's not what Brière was saying, he even mentioned that Michkov sent pics of himself wearing a flyers jersey lol - Pat1993
He posted a pic of himself working out in a Flyers t-shirt on his own social media account. Maybe that was misconstrued. If there was anything where Briere admitted to speaking to him it would be all over Flyers media, and it’s not. It’s all posturing to not piss off Roman Rotenberg who runs SKA.
From Kevin Kurz, Flyers writer for The Athletic,
“Something to keep in mind -- the Flyers technically can't just write SKA a big check. The money for a buyout would have to be paid by Michkov. The only thing the Flyers can do is offer him an NHL entry level contract, which, of course, can only go so high.”
It’s very possible behind the scenes they’re working with his agent to get this figured out. But they’re not admitting to that publicly.

again, I fully understand what you're saying, but I have no interest in lying to you about this, he really did talk about that... give it a listen yourself, maybe you can have the subtitles to translate it in English or something
I'm not even arguing that you're wrong, I don't care about the whole thing all that much to be honest, it's simply what he said.

Appreciate the link to the podcast. Do you know where about in the podcast he says this?

if you look at the links below the video it's in the section called "entrevue", between 18:52 and 1:02:10, I'm not sure of the exact time frame though.

Thanks, a few other interesting things in that interview.

I don't know if you speak French or not but hopefully you've managed to understand all of it, because yeah it was interesting indeed the way he was upfront and honest about everything, it didn't seem like he was keeping a whole lot of details for himself, besides things like who specifically the Flyers will be targeting at the draft and/or the trade possibilities they could be contemplating.

I don’t speak French but was able to get it translated to English. Admittedly, I’m a Flyers fan so that’s why I was so interested in this.
I mostly wanted to see where many of you were on trading the 5th pick. I think the Flyers are a lot further away than most people. It’s great to have Michkov but they don’t have a #1C or #1D anywhere in their organization. With a few highly rated defenseman in this draft I am really hoping they can get one. But I think all of the top defenseman will be gone well before they pick at 12 so a trade up is the only possibility. Moving Konecny would make them take a step back next year, which would better position them in next years draft, when it is supposedly a bit deeper at the center position.

yeah I'd be rather surprised if the habs traded the 5th pick, I definitely don't see them trading down as it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense considering they are still missing some important pieces for their rebuild... they could always trade up, but you very rarely see such a thing happen as it usually becomes too costly for it to be worth the move anyway.
