well, some should have a longer NHL career than others, but still.
beside Mesar I think they will all make the league. not too many core pieces though. - fidopro
yeah, well it's kind of normal to have only a few "core" pieces, either you draft them with top picks or through trade, I think the habs are accumulating enough assets right now to be getting there eventually.
you also have to consider you need a solid bottom 6, it's nice to have two very good lines but that might not be enough to win in the playoffs.

Probably a coin toss between him and Roy.
Both potential middle 6 forwards, Kapanen being a center might give him a little edge. - Mashadar
Roy played in the nhl AND was doing well, so no way kapanen is before him |

I think the ranking though is based on who will be the most complete NHL player in the long run, so right now of course Roy looks better but Kapanen could pan out to be the better player.

I'd be very surprised if Kapanen turns into a better player than Roy.
Roy is #3 on my Habs prospect list. I like him alot.
Always have. |

oh I'd be surprised too, just pointing out the logic behind the list... besides if Kapanen turns out better, that's great, it means he'll be really good lol |

Just because I had his jersey, plastered my walls with posters of him, waited in the cold for 2 hours to have him sign his rookie card and played his position hoping to be like him when I played hockey as a kid doesn't mean I loved him ok?

He walked right past us and seemed like he wanted to get the hell out of there as fast as possible. They had just lost, maybe he was pissed but he kinda acted like an bumhole to the fans that wanted to see him.
Then Jacques Demers came to shake our hands, saw my card, yelled at Roy to come back and he signed it. |

I've had a few encounters with Mr. Demers in my life.
He's a wonderful human being. Breaks my heart to see him in his current condition.

yeah, that sucks for sure. it was really sad the last time they showed him at the Bell with Serge Savard pushing his wheelchair.

Best level I played was Midget A. Got invited to a AAA camp once but got cut because I was too small. And likely not good enough to compensate mind you.

I think it actually isn't allowed anymore per NHL rules, at least not the way he wore it lol.
