Draft is coming soon, finalizing my little draft list in the next few days.
So much fun incoming!
AMIRIGHT PAT? - Scabeh
well, actually yes, although I don't follow lists all that much I'm pretty excited to finally know who the habs are going to draft... |

Reinbacher will either start the season in Montreal or join the team at some point during the season.
I wish we could find a way to leave Guhle on the left side instead of forcing him to play on his wrong side just because he's good enough to play both. I want the best version of him.
Lots of questions will be answered with the moves they make this summer or at camp depending on how players perform I guess. Way too many LHD. We have to pick the ones we want to keep and move the others for things we need more of.
Don't be shocked to see the Habs use a LHD to try and move up in the draft is a guy like Eiserman or Sennecke drops too far for some reason. - Scabeh
the snake has him 2nd overall on his list, knowing it won't happen |

Really?
That's pretty damn bold. Don't get me wrong, he's an interesting prospect but I see him more or less 10th.
Although I expected him to have his racist boy wonder Connelly in that spot so... might be an improvement. |

My daughter had to present her family in front of the class last week.
Since explaining her what I do (which is mostly labor relations) is kinda complicated for a 6 year old, I told her that people call me when they have problems involving people they work it and I help resolve the problem.
What she said in front of the class: People call my dad when they have problems with other people and my dad makes them go away.
Some of her friends basically think I'm a hitman now. - Scabeh
I went to my nephew's class to explain what I do for a job (all the kids did that over the school year)... he was in 4th grade.
The kids had to present the person they brought.
The girl before us, whose father was a therapist, presented him as the rapist (she obviously had trouble with the word).
Was hard not to laugh out loud. |

that reminds me of when I used to work with people with intellectual disabilities, and this other girl who was in charge of supervising a culinary activity asked one of the participants who spoke English to grate the cheese, but since she barely could speak English she instead asked him to rape it ("râper le fromage" in French).
it was mozzarella but it ended up being swiss.

LOL…
Labor Relation is best handled in North Korea…
Or Russia…
Now we have the Feds that do not want to go back to their office for 3 days a week… They say that some transgenders would get bullied…
Never easy…

I still can't wrap my head around trading a 62 points defenseman who plays over 20 min a night for a 53 points forward that his team doesn't want to keep around. - Scabeh
It all depends how you think will evolve…
In 2 years from now, will Habs need more Necas than Matheson given the kids coming to maturity?
I think the Canes would win the trade in first 2 years but Habs would win the next ones…
I like Matheson but if it is the price to pay to get a top 6, maybe it is what it is…
Not an easy one I agree…

You know how it is Pat. Trans people face more bullying in person than online...at...government buildings...when employed...where you can easily get fired for even breathing the whiff of any discrimination against anyone...oh...nevermind!
For the actual reasons for 3 days back. I live 4 minutes from Tunney's Pasture and the closure of what was essentially a government suburb did kill most of the local restaurants in that area. I understand why the Municipality and the Province want to use anything they can to get people to the offices to re-invigorate those areas with more wallets.

I still don't know what you guys are talking about, I didn't hear about anything concerning transgenders and returning to 3 days in the office.

that was also the reasoning behind it I heard about. nothing to do with transgenders lol.

Trans has nothing to do with anything. The mayor of Ottawa and Doug Ford have met to put pressure on the Fed to push a mandate to work in the office 3 days a week. As right now it is unregulated on how many days you need to be in the office vs working from home etc. |

whille I understand the restaurant/local economy side of things, I still think it's a very poor reasoning to add one more day in the office, as we've already planned everything around a 2-day schedule and significantly reduced unnecessary office spaces. it's a step backwards when you consider that almost 100% of the work can be done remotely.

One of the unions I work with recently employed a trans person as a union counselor.
We were about to settle a case when he noticed that the settlement had written "mr" in it (honest mistake I swear) where he was supposed to sign.
He completely lost his poop and we needed to call his superior to sign it so the employee could get the settlement he wanted/agreed to.

While I agree, if they're going to make it permanent, you need to do some poop with all these giant ass super suburbs in Ottawa that are just government buildings (Tunney's and Agro-Centre). Convert it into something. Just a waste of space and especially on it being the hinge for the whole LRT Hindsight really ballsed that one up (without going into the corruption and the fact it doesn't work in winter). |

ugh, I hate that poop. it kinda ruins everything for those who are actually reasonable and understand that mistakes can be made.

if they can turn that poop into housing complexes and help against the crisis going on that would be great. |
