I guess we won’t get the second line help on the market, it’s alright with Anderson and Gallagher still on the payroll.

Guess it’s going to be Newhook Dach Roy

and it's fine that way, it isn't like it was an ideal timing for the habs in their rebuild to be going after older players who won't be as efficient when the younger ones are ready.

They have a lot of contracts on their hands, I expected a quiet day and a quiet day it is. Some depth down the middle for the bottom six and thats it

I would have liked just one good vet upfront who can support the young guys. One of Monahan, Marchesseault or Stamkos but I’m sure Hugo did what he could and other markets where more attractive.

among those 3 for me it would've been Monahan, the other two I'm not crazy about at this point in time for the habs.

^ This ... we also have contracts that will expire after this year (Dvorak, Armia, Evans, Pezzetta, Savard). Big changes will come next summer.

Some of our young players will graduate to the NHL and we will also have two 1st, two 2nd and three 3rd round draft picks.

Patience grasshopper, good thing come to those who wait.

Those guys are veterans and would obviously want more years on their contract ... we can't offer that when we have a ton of prospects coming up in the pipeline.

I would think they wouldn't be interested to go to a team in construction.
