Laine is a big gamble for a contender, high cap hit, high risk, not the greatest track record from a health point of view. All depends how desperate some teams will be.

I am not a Zegras fan for MTL, I like Necas but the asking price is ridiculous from what we hear.

My love for Zegras is well documented, I wish we'd find a way to bring him in.

Laine is a risk I would take if the cost is minimal. We have the cap space, we have the technology, we have the nightlife, if we don't need to give any prime assets, it's more than worth it.

If the asking price for Necas is anything close to what's being reported, I'd stay the hell away from that player. Never was a big fan of him.

Samuel Blais, on a cheap contract, would be an interesting pickup for the Habs. If anything as an upgrade on Pezzetta.

They have too many LHD's still, they have Armia, Dvo and Savard who will be UFA next summer, they have Anderson and Gallagher signed until 2027, Price is UFA 2026.
