You will read that article.

And then one when the Oilers make a miraculous comeback to win the Stanley Cup.

I think one of Lindstrom or Demidov will be there.

If not, the BPA will be a defenseman, we'll have to live with it.

Or they take Iginla, which would certainly fill a need we have.

you think the fact he is 6.05" and 192lbs will change teams opinion on him?

since they will be trading Harris, drafting Lindstrom makes sense from a diversity point of view

The nice thing about harvesting defense prospects is that every other team wants them.

Sadly yes.

At 5"11, he was a "smallish forward".

At 6"1, it's not longer a weakness.

His only problem is being Russian, I'm not sure it's enough for teams to pass on his talent.

Yeah....

And I mean we could do worse than a left side of D!ckinson, Guhle, Hutson for the next 10 years.

If he is there at 5, I can see no way the Habs pass on him.

But that will not be a problem, he will be gone before 5.

so he gets to play another year in the MHL, wasting precious development time then if they don't send him in the military for 1yr (Look at the Flyers player), he gets to come to NA and most likely requires half a season in the AHL to adjust to the style and rink size.

Some teams might not be that risk tolerant and that patient.

While it's always a risk... top Russian players usually end up coming to North America.

I'm not really worried about it. The wasted year in the MHL would suck but it wouldn't ruin his career either.
