well that sounds silly and unproductive.

a lot of other teams still have a blogger so I feel the absence of a habs blogger is only due to incompetence and poor management, not because of the site shutting down.

Montreal Canadiens: A New Chapter Begins

The Montreal Canadiens are on the cusp of a new era. After several seasons of rebuilding, the team is poised to take the next step in its journey back to Stanley Cup contention. With a promising young core, key veteran additions, and a coaching staff that's gaining experience, the Habs are generating excitement among fans. Let's dive into what to expect from the upcoming season.

The Core is Taking Shape
The Canadiens have invested heavily in young talent over the past few years, and the fruits of their labor are starting to show. Players like Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki, and Juraj Slafkovsky are expected to be the cornerstones of the franchise for years to come.

-Cole Caufield: After breaking out with a prolific goal-scoring season, Caufield is looking to solidify his status as a top-line winger. His lethal shot and offensive instincts make him a constant threat.
-Nick Suzuki: As the team's captain, Suzuki has taken on a leadership role. His playmaking abilities and two-way game are invaluable to the team's success.
-Juraj Slafkovsky: The first overall pick in the 2022 draft showed flashes of brilliance in his rookie season. With continued development, he has the potential to become a dominant power forward.

Key Additions and Departures

The acquisition of [Player's Name] through [trade/free agency] is a significant addition to the [position] and will bring [qualities] to the team. Additionally, the signing of [Player's Name] provides [role] and depth to the lineup.

On the other hand, the departure of [Player's Name] leaves a void at [position]. The team will need to find a way to replace his [qualities].

A Coaching Staff on the Rise
The Canadiens' coaching staff, led by Martin St-Louis, has shown promise in their first few seasons. St-Louis has instilled a winning culture and has developed the young talent on the roster. With another year of experience under their belts, the coaching staff is expected to continue making strides.

Key assistants like [Assistant Coach's Name] and [Assistant Coach's Name] will play crucial roles in maximizing the potential of the players.

Expectations and Challenges

when reading any AI content online you can easily notice that it wasn't man-made, since it's so poopty and void of serious critical thinking, which tells me AI hasn't evolved to being dangerously close to matching human creativity yet.

I used Google Gemini, it just left a bunch of holes everywhere to be filled

and a sentence like this is pretty telling in order to determine if it's AI:

The Atlantic Division is one of the toughest in the NHL, with teams like the Bruins and Maple Leafs consistently vying for the Stanley Cup.

putting the laffs and the cup in the same sentence is an obvious dead giveaway.

I've often had fever dreams in here about being the only human and all this time having conversations with bots pretending to be posters.

in fact perhaps I've been programmed to say this exact sentence, at this very moment under these specific circumstances.

what I just said didn't really have anything to do with seasons, but yeah it's still summer, so it's normal that there's fewer people and way less hockey talk.

things should get back to normal with training camp, and with a new (frank)ing blogger.

that 10K thing is just depressing

anyway enjoy your beer and music

osti de Bruins de marde. wouldn't even be surprised if Korpisalo started being better all of a sudden, they're always very solid during the regular season.

not necessarily impressed by Toronto either but it isn't a complete failure imho, as they did add some needed depth on the backend, now if they can stay healthy remains to be seen.

going back with the same "core four", once again, despite the lack of results after all these years, sure isn't ideal lol.

here's another AI blog, just for "fun", this time generated with GPT4ALL:

Montreal Canadiens: A Look Ahead to the 2024-2025 Season

The Montreal Canadiens have been a staple of the National Hockey League (NHL) for over a century, boasting an impressive legacy that includes six Stanley Cup championships. As we approach the new season, fans and analysts alike are eager to see how this year's team will shape up.

Forwards: A Talented Core
The Canadiens' forward corps is looking particularly strong heading into the 2024-2025 campaign. The top line of Nick Suzuki (C), Cole Caufield (RW), and Josh Anderson (LW) returns, with each player bringing a unique set of skills to the table.
Nick Suzuki: As one of the team's most consistent players over the past few seasons, Suzuki is expected to continue his impressive form. The 25-year-old center has developed into an elite two-way forward, capable of producing offense and shutting down opponents' top lines.
Cole Caufield: After a breakout season in which he scored 40 goals as a rookie, Caufield will look to build on that success. His blistering speed and accuracy make him a threat from anywhere on the ice.
Josh Anderson: The physical winger has been an excellent addition to the Canadiens' top six, providing energy and grit while also chipping in with offense.
Other notable forwards who could contribute significantly include:
Evgenii Dadonov: A veteran forward with a wealth of experience, Dadonov brings leadership qualities and scoring punch.
Joel Armia: The Finnish winger has been an effective secondary scorer for the Canadiens, using his speed and agility to create opportunities.

Defensemen: Depth and Experience
The Canadiens' blue line is bolstered by a mix of veteran presence and youthful energy. Key players include:
Shea Weber: A stalwart on the back end, Weber continues to be an anchor for the team's defense.
Kaiden Guhle: The young defenseman has shown significant growth over his first few seasons in the NHL, offering a blend of skill and physicality.

Other notable defenders who could play important roles include:
Otto Leskinen: A promising prospect with excellent skating ability and puck-moving skills.
Jesse Ylonen: The Finnish defenseman has been making strides in his development, bringing a strong two-way game to the table.

Coaching Staff: Stability and Experience
The Canadiens have maintained stability behind the bench, with Martin St-Louis returning for another season as head coach. His experience and leadership will be crucial in guiding this young team through the ups and downs of an NHL campaign.
St-Louis has a reputation for being able to get the most out of his players, often using innovative strategies to exploit opponents' weaknesses. With a deep roster at his disposal, he'll look to maximize the potential of each player while also fostering growth within the organization.

Goaltending: A New Era
The Canadiens have undergone significant changes in goal over the past few seasons, with Jake Allen and Sam Montembeault serving as primary netminders. However, this year's team will feature a new face between the pipes:
Logan Mailloux: The young goalie has been impressive during his time in the American Hockey League (AHL), showcasing excellent reflexes and positioning.
Samuel Montembeault: Although he struggled at times last season, Montembeault still possesses a high ceiling as an NHL goaltender.

Powerplay: A Key Area of Focus
The Canadiens' power play has been inconsistent over the past few seasons, but with some key additions and tweaks to their strategy, they're looking to improve in this area. Expectations are high for players like Suzuki, Caufield, and Anderson to contribute significantly on the man advantage.

With a talented core of forwards, a deep defense corps, experienced coaching staff, new goaltending prospects, and an emphasis on improving their power play, the Montreal Canadiens are poised for a strong 2024-2025 season.

Tanev is 34, at best a 2nd pairing dman. he never played more than 20min per game, and now they expect to use him on the 1st pair with Rielly?!? signed for 6 years lol
that's not how you win a cup.

oh I know, it's far from ideal, that's for sure. I don't think that roster has 6 more years to go anyway with their window for trying to contend for a cup, so I guess they don't care all that much about the last years of that deal...
