Hey! That’s uncalled for. But tbf your grade may be a bit on the generous side especially if we’re focusing solely on her child rearing skills. |

In light of the Montreal Canadiens GM, Hughes, who has said he is paying /gambling in his four man young core to step up, and despite Laine possibly arriving in Chicago, KD objective ought to be to establish a young core with Bedard the centerpiece
I am going to hypothesize that our #1 2025 could be part of Chicago’s core. I am not seeing a scorer or dman yet who would be part of our core. Perhaps after one more season of development certain prospects already drafted might be classified as our core; more likely though our hopeful core group |

First of all Laine is not the type of player KD wants. If it were me CBJs would have to offer me something else in return to take Laine, reclamation projects need not apply to a team that is rebuilding. Considering they passed on Eiserman at 18 who looks like the same player as Laine told me a lot on KDs brand of hockey player
I think you can build a great team around Bedard, S Jones, Vlasic, Korchinski and Arty, if you have a bunch of forwards with skating ability, some offensive skills and the non stop motor of competing at all ends of the ice. |

Agree with all you said. I do not want Laine here but was just conveying the rumor. I am hopeful that Hayes may by default of no other good candidate at least find some time on Bedard’s line albeit probably not as soon as the beginning of the season |

Agreed, but most here don’t have their mom’s around anymore, no reason for that, just call him stupid and leave mom’s out of it. JMO |

I believe Waddle is desperately trying to create a competitive market for Laine.
I haven't given up on Reichel yet, i think TT signing is going to benefit him. 100 games in the big show, it took Kurashev 170 games and a kid named Bedard to get the most out of him hope it continues. Hagel was about 23 when he began to really show what he was to the NHL. Reichel will be 22 this season so we'll see but i like that they will or can have at least 2 vets on each line for the forwards this season. I think that'll help them going forward developing the kids.

On a unpopular note, if anyone watched the Bears preseason game, anyone notice the really skinny kid the Bears drafted in the 5th round 2 years ago named Robinson? Kid looks fricking fit. Maybe there is something to drafting kids who love the game they play and have the drive to be the best they can be.

I agree completely on Laine, with the caveat being that perhaps his time out of the league changes who he is. I wouldn't go his direction without evidence to strongly suggest that.
Also, I'd change the bolded from "think" to "hope". Way too early on KK and Arty, imo. |

That's fair, i thought i saw some flashes from KK this past season, considering his puck entrance denial rate on the team was tops, i believe, and his great first pass, coachable, i believe it's a matter of when more than anything else.
I think we were fortunate to pick in front of the Ducks, i think we picked their guy. He's already got 2 things in his favor, skating ability and size, and supposedly he has that compete/ work ethic, like so many of our draft picks. |

I'd give Laine a chance for Crevier and a pick, not a first. |

I am trying to upgrade my musical understanding.
and cannot find the name of a song by a one hit wonder band that is still played at almost every NHL rink where after it is played (and turned off) the crowd sings the REST of the verse...It was never part of my listening genre but want to learn the song so i am not out the loop at 74. |

So is this Laine/Chicago thing anywhere other than the top post of this site?
I mean in the past, a post like that was not really .... oh whatever --- it's like being in the twilight zone - I was mistakenly under the impression that no one took those overly seriously -so .... why start now? |

Reminded me of that guy with the absolute hatred of Crawford years ago. Some shampoo name, like fineness or something. |
