Yes, dancing at your wedding and playing professional hockey probably have the same degree of strain on the human body... - Mahewman

More intriguing to me is the want for use of the cap. It sure seems this staff thinks a full rebuild is out and we can add to the near playoff team last year adding Mitch and poss[url] another 4 mil player with some youth growth and be a playoff team. Is that foreseeable |

RyJo sucked in Nashville. He was never worthy of his bloated contract. Good on you Philly for calling him out on his bs. |

Coming in HOT, Danny Briere. I do have zero clue of the scenario and zero reason to go look for his wedding videos. If the Flyers used his "wedding footage" in any way to determine his eligibility to play professional hockey, that would be insane. That's the point.
I will tell you right now. Pretty sure most of the keyboard warriors on this site like yourself are capable of dancing at a wedding. Most of us would perish in an full NHL game. - Mahewman
I took in the context of you sh!tting on the team. I guess I didn’t see your point. Sorry if I jumped all over you without clarification. My bad.
I agree that there better be more than a wedding video to try and terminate the contract. Otherwise, it will be ANOTHER P R Disaster!! He didn’t seem to be loved by any of the teams he played for, but again, we don’t know the details. I just hope it’s for good cause. |

One other point….I’m no keyboard warrior. I rarely post, maybe 6-7 times a year, and I do have some experience playing beyond beer league. I received a 50% scholarship to play Division 111 hockey.
Again, sorry I jumped down your throat.

Surprised they gave out a scholarship 110 divisions lower than D1 |

Yeah my comment was more directed at the fact that him "whopping it up at his wedding" was even part of the conversation.
I have no love for RyJo lol. To be honest, I kind of figured his salary would be buried on LTIR by the Flyers as soon as he was traded for. If he's putting in no work to play, see ya!

I have no idea if RyJo has a career ending injury but I can tell you this, last season he skated like he was in mud. Of course the Avs are a very fast team, perhaps the fastest in the league but still it was almost laughable how slowly he moved. The only way he was able to score those 13 goals is because his hands are as good as ever - he still absolutely has an NHL shot and great hands around the net - he had two multi goal games. But he can barely move at an NHL level. His skating really wasn't at an NHL level.
He's also beloved of his teammates. Right before the mom's trip he had a bunch of t-shirts made commemorating Josh Manson's mom who had just died of cancer and it really touched Manson. Colton and Wood went to his wedding this weekend after playing with him for 2/3 of a season. Probably would have been much more if Makar hadn't got married the same weekend. Bednar (who had coached him in the minors with Columbus) also seemed very affected the day he was traded. |
