Stacking the top 6, with the top 6 players/talent.
DeBrusk-Pettersson-Boeser.
Petey and Boeser have had chemistry in the past.
DeBrusk brings a different element and some proven scoring ability.
2 good wingers to play with the 1C.
Joshua-JTM-Garland.
Joshdua and Garland obviously have chemistry. Super charge it with the addition of JTM.
Bottom 6 is the bottom six.
Heinen-Suter-Sprong could be decent offensively, could get caved in defensively, I dunno.
Höglander-Blueger-Sherwood could be a buzzsaw 4th line. Time will tell.
Alternatively, you could mix it up with a bit of a mix of scoring ability with defensively responsible wingers. - dbot

I'd like to see
Debrusk Pettersson Sherwood
Heinen Miller Boeser
Joshua Blueger Garland
Hoglanger Suter Sprong - A_SteamingLombardi
Close to what I'm figuring.... I think Suter and Blueger will be switched, and Sherwood/Hoglander/Sprong are all sort of interchangeable on Petey's right depending on who's playing well there.
I could also see DeBrusk and Heinen swapping for a bit at times this season, especially if Petey and DeBrusk don't have great chemistry. From what I've read Heinen is a pretty smart player, could potentially work better with Petey. |

A cup of coffee with a couple of proven guys like last season isnt enough that's for sure. It would be dumb to sign him for that much money and expect to get value out of it by stuffing fringe players on his wing. 5m raise... he's not the only one that has to make good on that contract... the front office forced him to pen and paper when we now see they would have been better to wait... if they can't pull it off, I picture JR holding a can of paint and PA with a dripping brush standing in the only unpainted corner of a room.

Petey will be productive however living up to numbers of that contract will be a challenge. It will be interesting to see who his regular line mates will be. |

You've been saying that since he signed his new deal, Lordy.

Petey will be fine. He's just streaky. Guy puts up 80 plus pts like clockwork he isn't a big issue |

That production should carry over into post season play.

Top five draft pick in Canucks history, can't wait to watch the kid again this year. Guessing he'll put up another 100+ point season. |

I hope his 'tendinitis' doesn't affect him this season. |

And hoping he doesn't pull a 'Marner' in the playoffs again because that was utterly embarrassing. |

Notice the outlying numbers? in 2021 he had a wrist injury that he was eventually able to heal. I'll let you figure the rest out. |

He's way stronger mentally, Marner has the fortitude of a paper bag. |

You know, if EP40 has a 67 point season, which is a complete no-brainer, he will be 7th all time in Canucks scoring after only six and a half seasons. Passing Horvat, Bertuzzi, Tanti & Bure. No wonder this franchise has never won a Cup.
Henrik, the all time points leader, had 302 points after six seasons, 378 after seven seasons. Trevor Linden had 388 points after six seasons with the Canucks. Bure also had 388 points after six seasons with the Canucks. Just looking at Canucks drafted players. |

He's on pace to be the highest scoring Canuck ever, and people are calling him a disappointment because of a knee injury |

Amazing young player, imagine if he had legitimate wingers to play with. He's not an upper echelon player, but he's having an amazing start to his career. |

The organization said he wasn’t injured so I’ll trust them on this |
