Did Devon Toews call out Ryan Johansson by name? Yes or no? - roenick97
Why ask a question thats answered in the original comment?

😂 maybe take the rest of the day off. it was a pathetic attempt at trying to argue something. You lost big time. Especially when your own followers have to call you out 😆
just really, really pathetic, like your chirps.

Why would you pay a guy to be a point per game guy, if he isn’t one? That’s not on the player. Ask Andrew MacDonald. - roenick97 It's on the player to live up to his contract. He had the ability, but not the work ethic. Comparing Ryjo to Macdonald is not a good comparison. Macdonald was a bad player that was way overpaid due to incompetent management. |

Well that’s interesting because “RyJo” was never a point per game player prior to signing in Nashville. |

I mean I get it. But when you are talking about 800 players and your stats are 11th, 3rd, and 14th, to me that is just about everybody.
One thing it DOES illustrate very clearly is how great Pastrnak actually is. Especially compared to a player like Konecny.
- MBFlyerfan
There is only one stat that matter due to his statement being Tippet had more shot attempts than just about anybody and that is total shot attempts. Having more is counts, not rates. There were 13 players who had more and the player on top had over 170 more attempts. If he said a high rate, or one of the highest rates, then the other stats would come into play. He didn't. He made an uninformed statement and was attempting to overrate Tippet as a player. |

Wow, you actually said that Torts is nothing special. That's probably the nicest thing you ever said about him. So, what players did he discard that actually ended up being good players elsewhere? I mean, I'm sure there are a few cause no coach is perfect, but he seems to be able to read the tea leaves when it comes to under driven players that just don't have the competitive edge that he is looking for. Frost will be next on his hit list if he doesn't BRING IT this season. - Phillywhiteout
Frost has been bringing it. In Tortorella's mind, it's probably not going to matter. He never gave him a chance at the start of last season.

Are you thinking Coots? It will be interesting to see how it shakes out. Bottom line is we don't have an adequate center for him. My thinking is MM might make Frost play faster and be more creative.
Personally, I'd like to see us tread carefully with Michkov. Give him time to adjust. I'm afraid he might get anointed as our savior. Kid's only 19. There will be plenty of ups and downs. - cdearth23
Coots or Poehling seem the most likely. Maybe Laughts if they start Michkov in the bottom-six and make him work his way up.
I don't see Torts putting Frost (who he knows and doesn't trust, and is small) with MM (who he doesn't know and doesn't trust, and is even smaller). He's gonna want MM w/ a "200-foot" center and some beef on the other wing. |

Then he rambled on about not getting hopes up for him at that size. I'm like dude, he ain't that small. Turns out he is 176 pounds. Only 19, so his NHL playing weight will probably be about 185-190 when he fills out a bit. |

If RyJo and the Flyers reach a settlement, how does that work exactly? Can they even reach a settlement or is it an either/or thing?
If they CAN reach a settlement, how does that work cap wise?
This inquiring mind wants to know. |

It be something like Flyers get lower cap hit and RyJo gets a certain amount of $$. Depending on how long it goes for the cap hit could potentially be next season. As far as i know the contract is terminated until over turned potentially

MJL, I'm with MB on this one. 14th out of 800 players qualifies as "just about" on this one. I know JD is not above equivocation and is prone to putting his finger in the wind before forming an opinion, or changing it, but on this one, his commentary stands at the least accurate. |

Agreed. What is the ultimate benefit for the Flyers in this situation? Cap space for this year?
Only a cap space junky like the Flyers would make that cost-benefit analysis decision. That's what the Flyers have become. Complete degenerates looking for that next sweet high (cap space/burning it).
There is now zero difference between the Flyers org and the junkies pan-handling at the Walt Whitman exit/95 S intersection. They'll do whatever is necessary to get it. - StepfordSam

The comment was not just about. The comment was that he has more shot attempts than "just about anyone". There were 13 players who had more and the leader had 176 more shot attempts than Tippet had. You can call that accurate if you like but I don't think it's close to being accurate. It's incredibly inaccurate. It's a gap the size of the grand canyon. |

"Frost has been bringing it." That's one of your best lines yet, and I'm not a Frosty hater. Ok, the start of the season, the evil Torts ruined him. What about when Frosty started to get more playing time and was mediocre at best (as you like to say) during the last 20 games? |
