Wow, you are still going about this? Really? Your life is that empty? Sad! - jd250
My post discussed the issue. Your's here did not and had zero hockey content. It's called a discussion and there are multiple people involved. If someone replies to me, I reply back if I choose to. That's how this discussion forum stuff works. Do I even have to educate you on that?

"Frost has been bringing it." That's one of your best lines yet, and I'm not a Frosty hater. Ok, the start of the season, the evil Torts ruined him. What about when Frosty started to get more playing time and was mediocre at best (as you like to say) during the last 20 games? - Don Nachbaur
Here comes the well everyone sucked in the last 20 games, not just frost. |

I understand how a discussion forum works, but with you its not about expressing and exchanging ideas. It's instead about trying very hard to make others look bad. That is not how any forum should work. In this case you are interpretting a phrase "more than most players" as meaning "more than any player" and that was not what I said or even meant. The bottom line is Tippet is a player that attempts a lot of shots and gets a lot of shots on net. True he is not at the level of Pastrnak or MacKinnon, but that was not my point. My point was simply if he is to become a 40+ goal scorer, he needs to continue to shoot more and get more shots on net. You can't score if you don't shoot a lot, which for example Pastrnak clearly demonstrates. |

This is a big year for Frost and the Flyers. The Flyers have to decide if they want to commit to Frost long term or they want to trade him at the deadline. In order for that to happen, Frost has to be in the lineup constitently and be given the big minutes each game. Benching Frost mid game or healthy scratching him is just not an option this coming season. Either they continue to give Frost opportunity to develop or they build up his trade value. Either way, Frost has to play. |

Your phrase was not " more than most players". If it was, there wouldn't have been an issue. Tippet's issue is not that he doesn't shoot enough. He is a high volume shooter. Tomahawk and I discussed why Gauthier doesn't have legit 40 goal potential.

Anyone watch Charlie O clip on how Flyers fans views others teams prospects compared to how we view our own? Its as if he reads this board.

Anaheim has drafted in the top 10 for 6 straight years and still looks like they will be doing it again in the next draft. It’s easy to be envious of their prospect pool and downgrade the flyers but there is no way this fanbase would tolerate that. |

they got the first part correct. which is something the flyers will never do and why they will continue to be stuck in neutral at best.
this local fanbase overall is dumb and doesn't know hockey outside the flyers. always been that way. |

Anaheim is able to do this because they only have fair weather fans. Comcast would never sign up to lose that much revenue. I believe they should have tanked but it will never happen in Philly. |

comcast lets the hockey peeps run the show. they are dope's who refuses to build properly. they chose the direction they go.
how much if any revenue you think they will lose? flyers are a tax write off for them. end of day they don't lose anything is my guess.
so Anaheim can withstand losing that much revenue but comcast cant? |

The Flyers are locked into vets they cannot get rid of. That stops them from bottoming out. So even if they wanted to be bad they would have to wait 3-4 years to do it properly.

no they wouldn't and no it doesn't'. they could have easily traded off pieces with value and only left them with ex selke and sanheim (who is easily tradable) as long term contracts. |

If you aren’t on here much, why aren’t you taking a walk? If you just leave as you claim you do, problem solved.

How many teams besides Pitt have purposely tanked and won the cup?
If tanking is the proper method why aren't more teams trying to tank?
I will give it a few years before I pass judgement on what direction is better. Am i happy with the current state of the Flyers, no, but i see enough young talent on the team to give me hope.

I feel like Pitt and Chicago have not only tanked but have gotten league help. I also feel like Edmonton has gotten help but can’t seem to do anything with the help they’ve received. |

Personal finance versus corporate. Hilferty gets fired if the Flyers lose money for too long because the guys at the top of Comcast only care about dollars and cents. There is no personal fulfillment whether they win or lose. Sure it’s a rounding error but corporations don’t keep writing off failing assets in perpetuity. A single owner can because it’s just a hobby for him and he has no boss. |
