Do you think Fedetovs salary could be part of the Kolosov issue? - WhiskeyMan
Fedotov was a UFA and Kolosov was a drafted rookie on a rookie deal, so It should have had no bearing.

the nhl gave the flyers their blessing yet highly motivated to settle. seems that will be the precedent set then for others in the future.
looks like it has been terminated based on that article.
- hello its me 2050
The Flyers have unconditionally waived RYJO and he cleared waivers, but they have not actually terminated his contract yet, according to Charlie O'Connor. |

Jason M is going through his bold predictions for the 2024-2025 season. Who has some bold predictions they want to share? - jd250 It's not really bold, but I'm going to pencil in 20 G and 30 A for Michkov in his first NHL season (barring injury of course).

Would we invite Martin Jones to a PTO assuming he doesn't get signed somewhere else? No guarantee Kosolov is back in North America and we just don't know about Fedotov. It might be wise to have a vet, cheap, back up as insurance. - cdearth23
This is a good question. I really expect the Kolosov situation to get ugly here. If he indeed has been ignoring the Flyers, I expect he just won't show up and we'll end up losing him to the K.
One big question mark I have on this year's team is goaltending. I really like Ersson, but can he carry the load? He was dynamite for the first half in a tandem with Hart, but ran out of gas down the stretch. If Feds doesn't adjust right away, he'll have to carry the mail again and I think it might go sideways. If there's an injury, look out. I guess it's not all bad as I think that will mean the Flyers will def be bottom feeders/will improve draft standing if the goaltending is a mess. |

1) Bobby Brink will find away to not make the team out of camp.
2) Farabee leads team in scoring, even over Konency and Michkov.
3) Sanheim doesn’t have a repeat season and becomes the Flyers new whipping boy. |

MM goes 12 and 15. Doesn't win the Calder. Flyers fans lose their minds and call him a bust by January.
Kolosov stays in the K forever and is on a tolled contract until 2027 when he decides to come over and we trade his rights to the Devils where he becomes a perennial all-star.
Feds and Ersson completely melt down and we get a top 5 pick.
TK struggles and is traded at the TDL before the NTC and new contract kick in.
Coots is played 25 mins a night from October to January and retires abruptly due to exhaustion.. Laughton is made Captain with ND and RP as alternates.
Bill's blog sets a record for hits and comments as we all complain ad nauseum and then the site crashes forever.. haha

Maybe. Been reading up on Bjarnason. Looks like he's been progressing well. Maybe an option in a couple years.. |

I see no need for a vet goalie at this time. Let those 2 and Kolosov figure it out. Yes I think kolosov does come over.
what will be interesting to see is if the goaltending is leaky, what do the 3 stooges do then? Do they address it and then bring in a solid vet? Or do they take the growing pains. If they bring in a vet and the ivan is the odd man out, does he leave to go back to russia? or will he accept being in the ahl? he is making a lot of coin so that will def factor in.
my own take is Sam is noting but your run of the mill solid back up goalie. |

Coots doesn’t play again after this season - ClaudeFather
- ex selke plays 71 games and ends up with 35 points.
- tk doesn't live up to the contract and gets his 60 some odd points. edit: contract didn't start yet
- flyers finish in bottom 7 in the league.
- seeler regresses badly
- no one on the team takes any huge step forward. many stay static
none are all that bold. |

The Flyers have yet to actually terminate RYJO's contract, leading to speculation that a settlement is in the works. The NHL and NHLPA are both highly motivated to get this settled behind close doors and not let it reach an arbitrator, where precendence can be set one way or the other. The NHL would prefer teams remain able to terminate contracts due to legitimate material breaches, while the NHLPA would want to assure that contracts cannot be breached because of injuries. - jd250

Even if they struggle, I let it ride. It is going to take a while for Feds to get acclimated. Even if it takes the whole year, give him the starts to work it out. Not sure on Ersson yet. Some really solid play especially in the first half of the year. |

This worries me, was his performance last season based on who his D partener was?

The Flyers get off to a historically bad start and John Tortorella is unemployed before Christmas... 'culture' be damned! |
