It's not really bold, but I'm going to pencil in 20 G and 30 A for Michkov in his first NHL season (barring injury of course). - Phillywhiteout
That would be excellent production for his first season. It would be fortelling of future stardom. I hope the PP doesn't hold him back.

JOB wins the Calder
tk scores 120 points Pasta scores 55 in 82 games
torts wins the Jack Adams, the Hart, the Norris trophy AND the Ted Lindsay award - corduroy
Tortorella is going to beat out Ristolainen for the Norris? Interesting.

Even if they struggle, I let it ride. It is going to take a while for Feds to get acclimated. Even if it takes the whole year, give him the starts to work it out. Not sure on Ersson yet. Some really solid play especially in the first half of the year. - Hextall271
agree. Now if they flat out stink....then what
will the coach push for a vet goalie if they struggle? |

Brink would need to have an awful camp and some one else would need to have a great camp to bump Brink off the team. He's going to make it. The treatment he got is similar to what happened with York and York responded huge. Brink should do the same.

We are talking "bold" predictions not what the likely outcome will be. Brink is not a lock to make the team out off camp. Agreed it would have to be a bad camp but he is not a sure bet. Full disclosure - I expect him to make the team.

I see no need for a vet goalie at this time. Let those 2 and Kolosov figure it out. Yes I think kolosov does come over.
what will be interesting to see is if the goaltending is leaky, what do the 3 stooges do then? Do they address it and then bring in a solid vet? Or do they take the growing pains. If they bring in a vet and the ivan is the odd man out, does he leave to go back to russia? or will he accept being in the ahl? he is making a lot of coin so that will def factor in.
my own take is Sam is noting but your run of the mill solid back up goalie. - hello it's me 2050
I think its unlikely both Gs struggle. Flyers IMO are only commited to Fedotov for this season. If he is awful I se a scenario where they both part ways. Flyers would demote him and I doubt Fedotov wants to play in the AHL so I could a see a mutual termination happen and Fedotov goes back and plays in the KHL. If they diod struggle I dont think Flyers do much. Briere said he was OK missing the playoffs again. I dont think anyone would be upset if we got a high pick.
That being said I think the Goaltending will be solid. Fedotov should be able to adjust and adapt his ability to the NHL. It will be interesting to see if they start as a tandem or with Ersson as the #1. I dont want to see a repeat of last year where the backup plays 2 games in October......

I wouldn't mind that. High pick in a good draft and opportunity to move to a younger coach from outside the org. I think that's the proper next step.. |

My opinion is they better not take time away from the developing tenders. More kids less vets. If it means we're top 5 draft then all the better. |

Torts won't be here forever so they will need a new coach. I think it's the way it needs to be. Who do you have in the org? Lappy? I'd prefer to hire an up and coming assistant or AHL head coach from outside the org who brings a fresh approach. I'm not sure it will happen but I think it's what's needed. |

The writing is on the wall for Brink. With Deslauriers playing, Brink seems like the odd man out.

Doesnt matter. It makes sense for both parties if the Flyers wont play him. It isnt like he cant make that money in the KHL
Deslaurier is not going to play Brink will.

What do you mean? Flyers changed nothing up front outside of adding Michkov. |
