no you missed the "premise" of my original post. of which had noting to do with the flyers.
I would say there is no need as I explained.
yes it is a solid signing. Mean while the flyers rush to give GH a 2 year ext when there was zero need. - hello it's me 2050 We get it. You didn't like the ND signing and the GH extension. We all feel the same way, but what is done is done. No need to rehash it just to continually dump on the Flyers. Chuckles signed ND and I don't agree with the GH extension either, but it's not as if this is new to anyone on here. And if Cousins was such a solid signing why did it take until almost September for someone to pick him up? His numbers have been rapidly dwindling. The Flyers need to find top 6 talent and top end defenders, so a bottom 6 nobody doesn't move the needle here. |

His wife was going to be a bridesmaid. All this because some drunk bumhole couldn't stay off the road. Unspeakable tragedy.

Three weeks ago a guy at work lost his leg to drunk driver with depression issues and mad at her ex boyfriend. I work with his wife too who was also injured. Newlyweds. Just had twin boys two months ago. It was 8:30 on a Saturday and the person rolled right up into their driveway to hit them.
The world is a scary place, you have no idea what a person will do or is capable of. |

Just a mind numbing story. Life altering on so many levels for a family set to celebrate a special day. It makes me sick to my stomach when I think about stories like this. |

See my previous comment above. If it's true that he's in town for his sister's wedding, then it's very plausible that it could both be him and a family member (his brother).
According to both CBS and ABC Philadelphia, police at least confirmed that it was two bicyclists were struck and killed by the same vehicle:
https://www.cbsnews.com/p...-auburn-road-stumpy-lane/
https://6abc.com/post/old...ey-salem-county/15245621/
I agree it's wrong to call it a freak accident. Call it an "incident" (with out the "freak"). When someone is at fault, which is most likely the case, than it can never be an accident. Unintentional, yes. But still no accident. - Bendecko
Based on the articles you posted, I agree there is circumstantial evidence of driver negligence. Looks like driver was impatient because of slower car ahead, crossed lanes to overtake, probably in a rush, and failed to see that car ahead may have been driving slowly because of the safety of bikes ahead.
So sad.

You think about the minor pain in comparison that it causes us from a distance and then think about what his Sister, family and close friends are going through. It's tough to deal with. Just needless stupidity. There are things such as Uber and Lyft available if you want to go out and drink. Extreme sadness and even worse, extreme anger.

You're just rehashing old news about ND and GH. Cousins had 27 points 2 years ago and 15 points this past season. Unless my math has failed me that equals declining.

I didnt know the family but we all feel like we did because he was a local Gloucester Catholic kid, south jersey boy who made it big in our favorite sport. I hope his sister is able to carry on after all this. And a baby that is going to grow up never knowing his/her father. |

is it dumping or is it reality?
he had:
21/22 - 22 points
22/23 - 27 points
23/24 15 points ( 10 less games)
guess that is your version of rapidly declining.

Some folks like to say that everything happens for a reason. How do you possibly explain this to anyone? My deepest sympathies go out to the family. I just simply can't imagine the pain.

From a faith perspective, its not a question of If, its a question of When.
"Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour of night when the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not let his house be broken into."
It's our job to be ready when we are called. Still, this is a horrible trajedy. |

We joke that this franchise is cursed but Columbus has us beat.
Goalie of the future gets shot in the chest by fireworks and dies... the only big name UFA they've ever managed to sign gets killed by a drunk driver... like wth. |
