they (frank)ed up.
better (frank) up with the 26th than the 3rd.
well the JVR sweepstakes are now over, good on CLB for shaking the hockey world like that after all the horrible luck and bad news they've been having.

well there are far greater chances that you (frank) up at the 26th rank than at 3rd lol
so far Mesar hasn't looked like such a great choice but I wouldn't say it's a complete catastrophe either. - Pat1993
He is what he is, but I don't think you give up on him yet.
His situation speaks to the fact we have more interesting prospects, and that Mesar is not in the top pack of the list. In previous administrations, he would likely be one of our top 2-3 prospects and everyone hoping beyond hope he could be a legit top 6.
Drafting is a crapshoot, never know who is gonna turn into what... but if you do it right, you come out on the winning side with more players that will likely play in the NHL, and some being impact players, than not.
Maybe he is a bust, maybe he makes it as a top 9 some day, who knows?

oh it's not a catastophe, but people can't complain the forward group was thin this weekend (compared to the dcore) and then say Mesar was a decent pick.
it was a poor pick. learn and move on.
and they did learn, last draft all their picks were 6'1 or 6'3.

well no matter how hard they try to "learn", teams will still make mistakes at the draft, that's kind of inevitable... I don't think drafting bigger guys than Mesar is necessarily the solution, in the end evaluating talent and skill and projecting how the player will develop is the biggest trickiest part of the puzzle.
that being said I agree it hasn't been looking like a great pick lol, but hey, maybe he'll find his mojo in Laval and prove everyone wrong, who knows.

Yeah, drafting smurfs has brought us nowhere for 30 years.
Unless a player is above average in skills, always draft players who are bigger and pack a lot of muscle. This is a contact sport after all.

et voilà. you draft a smurf? he better be real good. and I mean real (frank)in good. like McDavid good.
and if you're MTL, you don't draft any, period.

if this is true and Trump later on gets caught about making up the whole thing, he'll probably just ramble on about something else and everyone will let him continue his race for the presidency, business as usual. at this point I don't know what he'd have to do to be outed.
