Nastiest poop I ever drank was some Beefeater Dry Gin mixed with RC Cola. I was about 17 and didn't know better. Puked my guts out. Have only had gin once or twice since then and still don't like it. - GalacticStone

Hopefully 10 in the reg season and 15 in the playoffs.
Then he can piss off. - Fakepartofme
he still will be an rfa with arbitration rights at the end of this contract.
so pissing off might be with a trade |

probably a bit of everything, gov workers are now back 3 days a week in the office, so that will add a lot of cars.
not much you can do...but add 2-3 hours of commuting time to your day - senstroll
Glad the government is back at things, but yeah, the increase on traffic density sucks but needs to be accepted. |

If he proves himself to be a solid point production guy then the leafs can let go of the far more expensive non-physical winger they got named Marner.
The Leafs need to drop him or Nylander, can’t continue building the second line with players who get paid like top line guys. - Dozzer
Robertson wont ever replace the production of Marner or Willie. Not even close.
We are stuck with the overpriced willie for at least several years and we'll most likely be stuck with overpaying mitch as well. We're gonna have to get use to it.
Unless something really goes sideways in the next 6 months.
JT will be off the books soon. |

That, and like I said, a second liner should NOT be a $10+ million dollar guy.
Keep Robertson if he proves himself and move on from Marner or Nylander. |

He’s not supposed to replace them. Having one of those two on the second line is what the mistake is.
Mitch or Willie need to go, and since Berube is a north south type coach, I don’t think Marner stays because he won’t thrive under the new coach’s game. |

How can you possibly mention Richmond Row and not list the Ceeps?
It's only been there for like a hundred years!

TSN is asking is Pacioretty and Hakanpaa up next after the Robertson signing?
With Lorentz on pto, I don't think there will be room or cap space for Pacioretty |

Meh we'll see. I think people are overplayimg the whole wont work with "berube's game". He'll adjust his style a bit to the players game as well....just hopefully not too much.
But im fine either way....truly dont care who stays or goes....am, mm, wn, jt, mr, trade them all or keep them all. Whatever

The only reason Marner or Nylander plays on the 2nd line is because Nylander or Marner plays on the 1st line.
FFS, they were 11th and 12th in P/GP last year.
This is why we can't have nice things. |

Did you guys have designated places to meet up when you got there? Im assuming pre cell phone era. - bryant
For a long time, the "designated area" was the non-smoking room. The only one in the entire building. |

Oh agreed.
Guess he ended up caving knowing full well missing MORE time playing in his career might be the end of it.
I wonder if Santo still thinks Zadina is just as good now that he's signed and will slot in the Leafs top 6.

It is a bit of an FU, though.
You can't bump him up to $1M?
I may be doing the math wrong, but I think $875,000 is lower than his qualifying offer (QAs have to be 1.05% higher than last salary, but Robertson's is weird because of the sliding thingy on his entry level contract). |

Truly agree with the bolded
I guess for me when it comes to the wingers it’s a will the leafs want to spend $23-24 mill on their top two RWs? *shrugs* |

Please understand I’m not saying they’re bad players, they’re both bloody well excellent. It’s the damn cap issue. Keep those two great! But it costs bottom six, defensive, and goaltending depth. |

The situation for Nicky Bobby is sweet: the Leafs are very weak on LW so he should be able to prove his quality with star linemates. Which is what is so baffling about his disgruntlement and reported request for a trade (of which he had ZERO leverage).
If he wants to prove that he's elite, this is the best shot he's going to get, maybe ever.
Hope he succeeds. |

Dreger says Patch and Hakanpaa likely to be signed now that the threat of an offer sheet to Nicky isn't possible. Not sure Patch has anything left at this point. |

and he is no longer waiver exempt.
so if the Leafs do place him on waivers, I'm sure a team will snag him. |
