and he is no longer waiver exempt.
so if the Leafs do place him on waivers, I'm sure a team will snag him. - dmnted

Unfortunately, I'm afraid, the Leafs are locked into both. - mjones242
Only one. The other remains a decision and sometimes in cap world the right decision is what changes. Sometimes the player means more than the space but unfortunately sometimes the space means more than the player. |

It’s true lol
Also, what if Marner has an injury prone season that shows a pretty clear effect on his skill set?
Don’t bank on things with questions, that’s a gamble. |

Dreger says Patch and Hakanpaa likely to be signed now that the threat of an offer sheet to Nicky isn't possible. Not sure Patch has anything left at this point. - PlatosRepucklic
I'm curious to see how the Hakanpaa thing shakes down, and if he plays how the knee affects him.
I'm not sure about Patch either, but may be a worthwhile gamble.
Random though, why hasn't Timmins gotten more of a look? I'm not big into the analytics and all that fancy stuff, but he looks fast out there, moves the puck quite well, and passes the eye test for me.

It's 100% true, you just got all unexpectedly Confucius on us.
To your last point, so you're out on Hakanpaa and Patch, then? |

Absolute NO in Patch.
For Hakanpaa, why not give him a PTO and invite him to training camp? Force him to do two laps around the ice, and if you can smell bone on bone smoke, thank him for his time and escort him out of the Ford Performance Centre. |

It is a bit of an FU, though.
You can't bump him up to $1M?
I may be doing the math wrong, but I think $875,000 is lower than his qualifying offer (QAs have to be 1.05% higher than last salary, but Robertson's is weird because of the sliding thingy on his entry level contract). - Atomic Wedgie
YA thats fine. |

Hard pass on patch....he's done.
AS for Haka, it sounds like its simply a health matter.

Of course it's good.
Unless you left it on the counter, directly under sunlight. |

I just had hot dogs that were past the best before date.
I figured I'd be fine - they're 89% preservatives, 11% raccoon.
My tummy hurts. |

lol not a good sign coming from me
And yes, I’m out on those two. The d man alone has been caught in a pic in a stars jersey since he “signed” with the leafs. I have a feeling that he’s done. |

Good deal on Robertson. One year, under one million.
This is it kid. Show what ya got. Play like that jersey means something.
Berube will either put hair on his chest or run him out of Toronto.
Cowan is waiting in the wings, rubbing his hands together like that meme.

Best before dates are bullpoop. Eggs can still be good 6 weeks after. They just put that on there to make you throw stuff out and buy more.

That and it protects them legally. If they put the dates close and someone ended up eating one that had gone bad and had gotten sick they could get sued for a lot of $
Hell I even keep bread/buns in the fridge and they last way beyond their dates because of it |

Yeah, my toilet bowl now disagrees with you.
(I do agree about best before dates being BS, though). |

My local baker told me never to put baked goods in the fridge (it started over a conversation about a birthday cake).
Your fridge sucks moisture out - so it dries out your baked goods.
Freezer is the way to go. |
