* - he will need 2 things, 1- make the team and get ab NHL contract.
If Timmins goes on waivers, say goodbye to him as a team will snag him IMO. - dmnted
All of that is true.
I think by the end of the season, we will see a really good A. Nylander enjoying playing on the same team as his brother. |

Delete your accounts - mr.sir
Ha - sorry man I know you are a Woll guy. I probably should’ve deleted my account for other opinions but not this one…you never know man - Woll could play a full season one time!

It would be kinda more weird if he was wearing a Leafs jersey IMO.
Not saying he's on the team or a deal is done. I don't even know what is going on just that he was traded for or some poop?!?!
I'll just go with where there's smoke there's a really tall fire.
I like his size and style of play so I hope there is a deal happening there. He would round out the D perfectly. - underhill14
Oh he won’t be top 6 even if he is good. He’ll be a 7th at best, essentially replacing Timmins. |

Okay, I'll bite. At this point, they're still working out details on his next contract, and nothing is guaranteed. Do you expect him to go out and buy a Leafs jersey?!?! - Whipper
You think he’d have to buy one?
He won’t be a leaf. The leafs haven’t mentioned him directly at all, nothing whatsoever. It’s just the desperate media who brings him up. |

(frank) Patches.
But I'm all for Hawktuah. Hope he's ready to go and injury free. Could use his size and defensive ability, need at least one more that isn't an offense first Dman.
Storlarz ail take the #1 spot by November. Book it. - underhill14
I don't think anyone is on-board the Patches train.
Don't underestimate Woll - despite his injury history, and lack of playing time, at age 26 the most games he has started is 23 in a season. He has room to grow and improve. Stolarz is 30 and the most games he has started in the NHL is 24. Now Woll has started as many as 47 in a season over multiple levels while a junior - and Stolarz has had over 50 starts. He was also the starting goalie for the Knights in losing two consecutive Memorial Cups!
My point with that crap is that neither has had a ton of starts throughout their respective careers. I think this is very much a 40 game platoon between them because I think they may tire more than expected.
Both are fantastic goalies, to be honest, with surprisingly excellent underlying numbers and while I've seen a lot of pundits put the Leafs in the 25-32 range for goaltending, I think these two put them in the top-15 - *if* they can stay healthy.
But I'd be surprised if Stolarz takes number 1 from Woll based on his age and history.

Signing Pacioretty to a league minimum deal is a classic no risk/no reward move.
Bergevin used to do plenty of those for us. |

I don't think Woll is a bad goalie, just his injury history. Injuries take a goalie out of their groove and Storarlz seems to be more durable.
So for me, if Woll goes down and Storlarz takes the net and is durable and finds/keeps his groove going, Woll will have to win the #1 back...until he gets injured again.
My bold prediction is only because I don't think it would be easy for Woll to win the #1 spot back when he inevitably gets injured.

Here’s him on August 3rd. He’s no leaf or even close if he was willing to wear the stars jersey.
- Dozzer
It apparently was a two year deal, it just hasnt been made official due to health concerns. So they were/are close.
But until its official, he can wear whatever he wants I guess. |

I don't know about that.
He kept being the guy in the playoffs once Sammy faltered, despite being injured and despite Sammy playing well enough in the regular season.
I think the Leafs need Woll to be their guy (and remain healthy) to have a shot at good things.

My guess is the leafs offer was based on him passing health tests and the reason he doesn’t have a contract yet is because he hasn’t. |

Nah, he's better than what you're saying and better than Timmins and Lily...especially for the Leafs needs.
Big, strong, defense first.
OEL, Hakanpaa would be an ideal 5/6. |

They were.
Something with his health stopped the contract from being signed.
Either way, he's a depth D....if he doesn't sign, the leafs move on.....or they move on anyway. |

In Toronto I believe they’ll feed info like that to keep the media distracted and it’s about time they figured out just how terrible the media coverage of the leafs is. |
