Doing well, my friend. Just here for my bi-yearly check-in haha.

Im psyched for this year. No reason why we cant keep up what we started last year.

I'm predicting a 2nd place division finish.... And Hot take.... Debrusk is getting 40

How you been holding up?

- vancity787

It is nice having confidence in this management group although they lack in coherent communication with the fanbase in regards to injuries.
I agree that they should be able come close to last year's points production if the top 6 can avoid injuries . The goalie situation seems to be a bit of a clusterfuck, we'll see.

A frustrating year dealing with healthcare but otherwise decent. Our garden is coming along nicely and it looks like my weed is being harvested on Friday due to wet weather on the way. Perhaps a week earlier than hoping.

Enjoy the upcoming season and hopefully we'll see you pop in again before the new year.
Stay well, my friend.

"Tough news: #Canucks share forward Dakota Joshua will miss the start of camp as he heals up from surgery to remove a cancerous tumor."

"Good on Joshua to share the difficult details in the hopes that more men will speak up and get checked if something seems off."

Using worldometer for population numbers, Sweden has a per capita of NHL players at 0.000603, while Finland has a higher per capita of NHL players at 0.000641 and Canada has a per capita of nhl players at 0.00109.
So it would appear that Sweden might supply the 3rd most based on per capita.

As usual, you get into trouble while thinking.

I think I read this, but it is 5 years old.

Allvin on Boeser:

"I told him that he could’ve scored 50 goals, but I felt he took his foot off the gas when he scored 30 and we want to see him pushing through."

Allvin says they will talk extension when the time is right and he wants to see Boeser be even more consistent.

“Hearing the words of Patrik Allvin, it's clear that their main focus for Brock Boeser isn't contract. It's making sure he understands that last year shouldn't be seen as a high water mark, but a launching point to become an even better, more impactful player.” #Canucks

“Not since pay-per-view broadcasts have #Canucks regular-season games not been featured on traditional television.

But that's the case this season, as Sportsnet isn't broadcasting four Vancouver games.”

Amazon Prime will carry those four games.

We got SportsNet Plus last year. Doing it again this year, it was fantastic.

Thanks for keeping things flowing and updated. Have some friends in town, plus there's not really much worth writing about right now... so will hopefully get a new blog up over the weekend.

I did the same.

A few bucks but so painless compared to always looking for free streams. I do the same with the NFL and DAZN.

The access to all NHL games is awesome and the picture is far superior to regular cable.

How much is it? I cut cable because it's a waste of money to pay for dozens of channels I'll never watch, and I stream anything I want to really watch anyways

Did the same but we only paid about $12 a month. Agree, it's well worth it.

I'll probably get it, I try to use various sites to free stream Canucks games but it's hit or miss on quality and most times unless it's a home game I get the opposing team's commentary which is grating

Edler to retire a Canuck, classy move by a classy management group, looks good on Vancouver.

Is that something you can realistically afford, given your extremely poor financial status in life?

Shock to have heard and speedy recovery to him. No timeline on return. I suppose it’s long term. Just take care of health as it comes first. He’s got the security of the contract which helps.

Quite the time machine you have. How did we do in the 2025 playoffs other than Petey only getting 1 goal?

So now it's 1 goal for 11+ mil even though he hasn't played a single game on his 11.6 contract.

Drama queens...

- boonerbuck

I think people feel they have been burned by this team so many times that they don't want to accept that Petey is a top 25 player in the NHL. He will perform in the playoffs when he makes it there healthy, he's too competitive and expects too much of himself not to.

The amount of content you get is great, I just wish their Smart TV app was better, the audio likes to desync and some nights the loading times for channels are brutal. Guess you can get away with offering a poopty service when you have a monopoly on live sports content

Where's the fun in being a fan of a team if all you do is complain? I like to believe the Canucks can/will do well
