any stats/data to back this up or is this just your opinion? - hello it's me 2050
The guy says my take of 65-70 points is a stretch. Then, he offers a goal total that his language seems to suggest is more realistic but which is completely consistent with 65+ points. (If MM scores 30 goals, the projected point total based on NHL forward average goal/point ratio would exceed 70 points).
Ah well. |

He’s saddled with Torts as his HC and the woefully incompetent Rocky Thompson running the pp. The Flyers also lack a legit 1C so I’m not expecting huge numbers.
I’m thinking 20g, 23a at ES and 7g, 8a on the pp for a total of 27g, 31a, 58pts

20G would be huge for his rookie campaign. I'd like to see him on Frost's wing but knowing Torts he'll probably see more time with Couturier or Poehling (SMH).
Top six shaking out to:
Konecny Couturier Tippett
Farabee Frost Michkov - Pixote Andolini
Foerster-Couturier-Konecny (Defensively sound and Offensive punch)
Tippett-Frost-Michkov (SHOULD be a tough line to play against)
Farabee-Laughton-Brink (Could be better, but focus will be on top 6 and need to take advantage of that)

Bedard did what 45? I think the Flyers have better complimentary players than Chicago right now but the opposition is greater. If he does what Bedard did, I'd call it a win.
What was very nice ws to see his chemistry with Rizzo and Luchenko. He's making other guys better by being around. I'm interested to see his effect on the big club and especially the power play. |

I thought you were ignoring me now? Whether you directly reply to me or reference me in a reply to another poster, that is not ignoring me. You listed 65-70 points. How is a goal total of 20, consistent with 65+ points? Not every goal scorer also racks up a high level of assists. Basic math says if he scores 20 goals, he would have to rack up 45-50 assists to get to your point total. Feel free to supply the statistical evidence that scoring 20 goals is consistent with 65+ points. The Flyers had two forwards this past season who scored 20 or more goals and didn't get close to 65+ points in Farabee and Foerester. Frost had 19 goals the season before with only 46 points.

I agree. I'm worried about who he will play with. But, it also appears that he creates opportunities. He may be able to elevate some of our forwards. The think 50+ points is right on target.
