Interesting...
Benson away from Peterka and Quinn at 5v5 had a higher CF%, FF%, xGF%, HDCF%, SCF% than both. Higher than Skinner, Tuch, and Tage in a almost all those categories as well. - DirtyDan
yeah but he's bad

He passed up too many shooting opportunities though. Should've had one or two along the way. I worry he's turning into a pass first player when his shot is one of his best qualities. - QuinnFan
I have been rooting for Krebs to break through, but honestly he doesn't offer up much over his distribution capabilities.
He is not fast, but plays aggressive, relentless. He doesn't take much crap, isn't afraid to push back hard. Those are his enduring Capabilities.
His shot is average speed wise, his shooting percentage is a average at 10% and he doesn't take enough shots. He doesn't play well on the wing, and his FO% at 46% isn't better than the other C's.
On the roster, he is literally block other prospects who could offer more.
Like I said, I want him to succeed, I just don't see it happening unless he somehow changes his game in a big way. |

This will be a faster team, with more grit. Scoring and team defense (goalies included) will be the determining factor. If we can have a bounce back year from Tage, Tuch, Cozens, and UPL, can replicate he performance from last year, we are a playoff team.
Ruff will coach someone bad habits out of our D-core IMO. - lulags
He may want to start with coaching bad habits out of Wilford. |

Not sure where Savior came from.
At age 18, he was not a difference maker, he was however pretty decent.
I like that he got a ton of experience at a young age, as I hope that then translates to a shorter development period, yet he experiences significant growth.
Hopefully he took a lot away from last year"s experience and is able to build in his areas of improvement, of which for me finishing is one and taking more shots is another. |

Great having a new coach and not knowing for sure how he's going to plug things together. Donnie was overly committed to some things that just didn't work.

I hope the kid makes the strides this year that peterka made last year

That made me curios. They played 6 minutes together.
I don't know where the opportunity is going to come from. With McLeod, Kulich, Ostlund, and Helenius, I don't think it's happening for him in Buffalo and I'm surprised he's still here. - Lunaion
I don't know what I'm missing, apologies if I'm having a dumb moment.

This looks like 72:47 with JJP and Benson, CF% was 62%. That was his highest of any pairing. The Okposo/Girgs line was only down to 58.1% but they never scored once in 94:34 of time together, so they were basically creating perimeter shots and o-zone time. |

the 3 big takes 11/12 months ago
no chance this team takes a step backwards in 23-24
levi is getting 55-60 starts
benson is going to make the all rookie team

He is a redundant player here
He won't be distributing to peterka. Maybe Benson if he manages his way to the 3rd line but you're counting on injury for that
Not sure what they expect. He doesn't even have a spot on the opening night roster right now - ieetbred
Injuries will occur, so don't think that's unreasonable to expect. And line 3 will be with McLeod, Zucker or Benson, who to me are all big upgrades to Okposo, Girgs and Olo as examples. |

Not like they don't have the Cap space to Bury a player if need be. |

We found the NST Team report isn't that accurate for some reason when it comes to lines.
Surprised me. I consider them the gold standard for this stuff.

No. In a short camp, they won't be given the opportunity, imo.
I think their roster is set and the wildcard is just injuries.

The Zucker signing is rather odd, he blocks the young guys more than anyone, if he plays top 6 minutes. |

Lindy doesn't want to be that young. He ripped up Kev's plan.

Think Kulich gets a shot - Buff36
I would like to agree. But where does he slot..
Peterka-Tage-Tuch
Zucker-Cozens-Quinn
Benson-McLeod-Greenway
Malenstyn-Laff-NAK
Krebs
Seems like the roster is in place after the signing today
Move one of the bottom 4, slot Greenway down to 4th line and You can have Zucker or Kulich on either middle line? |
