I don't recall that there was an actual election. I just decided to speak out for the masses. Flash forward to this time next year. Will Jett be ahead of Frost on the center depth chart (if Frost is still here)?

Don’t see how he would be ahead of him at this time next year if he is sent back to juniors.

He doesn't have a book on him. Just a notepad. Would that suffice?

That's probably a valid point, but you know Torts is just gonna love this guy over Frost! The guy can fly and plays hard EVERY shift, and he apparently is a gym rat. Could he be the next Brindy? Perhaps Frost can learn something from this kid? This is mostly hearsay from me cause I only saw the kid play Friday night for a few shifts, but could be the sleeper of the draft...or not.

I've only seen Luckanko skate about 10 shifts or so and I've seen Frost skate 1,000 shifts or more. More impressed with Luckanko based on what I have heard about him and what I saw in the very small sample size against rookies.

Ha ha, I wish I had Torts' salary, but nah! This is Frosty's big year. Put up or shut up! I'd pair him with Michkov, but I think he's gonna be paired with Coots if he is healthy.

You need to stop talking this player up.
- MJL

No I don't, he deserves the accolades based on his play. You need to stop talking down the player because of your infactuation of passing on Buium.

That's true about Torts' hating on Frost. Torts could be gone before the end of the season if things go bad. I can't imagine him getting an extension as coach although anything is possible. There have been rumors that the Flyers might be interested in Sullivan is he gets fired by the Pens. Another retread win now coach. Yippee!

Its only one game and few team practices but I think Torts is going to love Michkov. His practice habits and work ethic we have seen so far are off the charts, and I love the answer he game when asked about it, "Its my job". But during the game what I loved the most about Michkov was his willingness to get into the corners and battle, and come away with the puck. Also his willingness to back check in the rookie game and his defensive zone coverage was a pleasant surprise. Michkov is also an awesome playmaker which I was also a bit surprised to see. You can see Michkov is going to have to make some adjustments with this shot, because he had several chances but the Rangers goalie made the stops. However I loved what I saw from Michkov on the PP, great poise and puck retrieval skills. Overall, Michkov IMO does the important things that Torts looks for.

JR Avon really showed well for himself with this speed. The player I am concerned about is Tuomaala. He can skate and takes a lot of shots, but he's soft and doesn't puck battle well and his hands around the net are suspect. I'm not sure Torts will like Tuomaala.

As usual, you are incorrect. I have never once talked down towards Luchanko. In fact I have repeatedly stated that I think that he is going to be a good player for the Flyers.

The reason you need to stop talking about him is because the overwhelming majority of players you champion. Go to crap.

The only factor now is potential and how and if they meet that potential.

Are you posting this just to cause a controversy? You can't be serious can you? I mean I liked Luchanko a lot, but he is no where near Frost at this point.

Players having strong work and practice habits has not stopped Tortorella from singling them out in the past. You really don't know Tortorella well. Despite being so far up his ass

Let's review what I have said about Luchanko:
1. I predicted he will have a big +1 year
2. I predicted he will make the Flyers next season
3. I praised his play in the two rookie games, especially his foot speed.
4. I have stated he should play at Guelf this season and not be rushed.

I really don't think any of these things are out of order. In fact, there is a lot of buzz over the internet that is questioning whether he could make the team out of camp this season, which I have stated in ludicrous.

As far as other players I have championed, the only player that did not pan out was JOB, and that was solely because of injuries he sustained, which is just bad luck. What other prospect that have I championed has gone to crap?

Defending the hoarding by a few, to the detriment of the horde. UGH!
SOME billionaires earn their money, most inherit it, gain it through marriages, and started from third.
Don't go into their tax schemes. Way ugly.
If you are familiar with 'returning to the mean', I just want it to happen quickly.
But if you are born to the money...

Let me guess, you are referring to Frost right? If so I will again mention that Frost did not do a lot of the things I am praising Michkov for and that is why he was singled out. I know Torts quite well in fact, apparently much better than you do. But of course, you hate Torts so it really doesn't matter, to you Torts can do nothing right.

Sorry, this is where I agree with Torts. I wanna see Frost engaged every game! Not look like a super hero for 3 games and then not even know that he's on the ice for the next 5 games. It's put up or shut up time. Contract year and it's all right for there for him.
