Let's review what I have said about Luchanko:
1. I predicted he will have a big +1 year
2. I predicted he will make the Flyers next season
3. I praised his play in the two rookie games, especially his foot speed.
4. I have stated he should play at Guelf this season and not be rushed.

I really don't think any of these things are out of order. In fact, there is a lot of buzz over the internet that is questioning whether he could make the team out of camp this season, which I have stated in ludicrous.

As far as other players I have championed, the only player that did not pan out was JOB, and that was solely because of injuries he sustained, which is just bad luck. What other prospect that have I championed has gone to crap?

The list of players that you have championed, praised, along with moves, trades, coaches that have turned out to be inaccurate and wrong. Is endless. Please end the trend and stop. In fact, I wish you would start saying he sucks.

Sorry, this is where I agree with Torts. I wanna see Frost engaged every game! Not look like a super hero for 3 games and then not even know that he's on the ice for the next 5 games. It's put up or shut up time. Contract year and it's all right for there for him.
- Phillywhiteout

Yes, this is a very important year for Frost and the Flyers. That is why its important Torts puts Frost at 2C and leaves him there throughout the season, barring injury of course. Let him play and either sink or swim. As Jones and Briere have stated, the team might take a step back this season which is OK if in turn they can effectively evaluate players and make the best decisions for the team moving foward.

More fantasy from you. So I again I ask you. What other prospect other than JOB have I championed that has gone to crap?

Let me guess, you are referring to Frost right? If so I will again mention that Frost did not do a lot of the things I am praising Michkov for and that is why he was singled out. I know Torts quite well in fact, apparently much better than you do. But of course, you hate Torts so it really doesn't matter, to you Torts can do nothing right.
- jd250

Frost, York, Sanheim, Konecny, Couturier.

You don't know Tortorella well at all and you also don't know Frost well.

Here is the reality. Michkov and Luchanko are rookies. They will not do everything that Tortorella wants or sees. Tortorella will, due to his massive ego and control issues, will need to assert his dominance. He will at some point, instead of just taking the growing pains, will single both players out at some point. More so and irrationally so than most coaches will.

Ha ha, does Torts drive by your house once a week and shoot out your porch light? You sure have some serious unnatural disdain for the guy.

Your comments are childish. There is nothing unnatural about opining about the obvious faults and flaws he has as a coach.

I don't think Couturier should have singled out and because of it the entire team sank so I agree with you there; that one was on Torts. But the other players deserved to be singled out at the time, and all are MUCH better players because of it. TK and his family are now set for life because of what Torts has done for him, and TK has stated this. Sanheim rededicated himself last off-season and was a better player because of what Tort's did for him. Frost is much better now because of his confrontations with Torts. York is the team's best defenseman because Torts sent him down for a few months. You may not like his techniques, and sometimes I don't either, but you can't argue with the results.

Frost like every player, needs to produce. However a large part of the criticisms offered by yourself and other uninformed critics of the player, are often unfounded.

He needs to be more engaged which would in turn make him more productive. You see how that works?

Tortorella had little to do with the players that Konecny and Sanheim are. Frost is behind as a player at this point then he should be, due to Yeo and Tortorella. Tortorella set York back. What results? Tortorella is a horrendous development coach.

Dumb comment after dumb comment. Frost does not have issues with engagement. The on ice data shows that he is indeed engaged.

you seem to say every year for the flyers is important. You can't just leave him at the 2 spot no matter what as things just don't work that way.

flyers goal is the playoffs per co-gm danny.

Of course the goal is to not tank and try to win every game, but both Jones and Briere have stated that the team may take a step back this year. This is a very important year for Frost and the Flyers since his contract is up and a decision has to made as to whether to extend him or trade him. That decision cannot be made fairly unless the kid plays important minutes throughout the season and gets to play with good players. Benching Frost or only playing him 12 minutes a night is useless at this point.

Is that the Flyers will take a step back this season or is that their "success" last season was more about other teams, such as the Devils having poor seasons due to injury and goaltending?
I agree on Frost. Need to ultimately find out and give him what he needs. Then it's on him.

not true. All GMs will state the goal of the season is to make the playoffs. You have to pay attention to what he and Jones have stated on podcasts and other media

Nope, and my worry is that they start dealing and doing "make the playoffs" deals instead of playing the long game.

And spare me the "They traded Walker" bs. That was always going to happen. And look at the headache they inherited in the process, especially for a pick that will be in the late 20's.

It is amazing they are putting all their hopes on a single draft, and what is more amazing is that fans are buying it.

The Flyers were a decent team last year, but clearly if the Devils played to their potential the Flyers would not have been in the playoff hunt realstically till the end of the season. However this season I think the Flyers are going to be better, and regardless of the other teams in their division, I think the Flyers will be in the mix for most of the season again, though I think they will come up short.

not sure fans are buying anything at this point. I for one believe the Flyers have no intention of selecting players with these picks, but will use them in trades.

some words you know they are what they believe (like playoffs), many others they are not.
