Just looked at the Hawks site:

"CHSN will deliver all of the Chicago sports action that our fans crave, produced with the highest quality standards in mind. Committed to working with our partners to provide the best-possible at-home experience for their customers, CHSN will push the limit on advanced production offerings and high-end experiences, including a dramatic expansion of 4k-quality games while preserving customary conveniences such as pausing and recording.
CHSN will be available across satellite, cable, and premium streaming platforms.
For satellite users, Chicago Sports Network will be distributed on DIRECTV across a five-state footprint, including most of Illinois, Iowa and parts of Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. CHSN will be broadcast on channel 665 via DIRECTV Satellite and DIRECTV satellite free services. The channel will be available to anyone subscribing to DIRECTV’s Choice or above packages.
For cable customers, the Chicago Sports Network will be available on U-verse channels 1741 (HD) and 741(SD).
For streaming service users, the Chicago Sports Network will be available on DIRECTV Stream (channel 665) to anyone subscribing to DIRECTV’s Choice or above packages.
CHSN is currently negotiating with various other premium providers. Check back soon for more details!"
So you can watch it on cable after all if you don't want to head out and get an antenna. I'm still going the cut the cable route.
